Consequently, you too must think of
yourselves as dead to sin and living
for God in Christ Jesus. (Rom 611)
Paul taught the Roman Christians
that through Baptism, believers fully
participate in the death, burial, and
resurrection of Christ. How should
this reality impact one’s day to day
living?

cross and follow after me is not

REMEMBER IN YOUR PRAYER THOSE WHO ARE SICK
Lord, our God, you sent your Son into the world to
bear our infirmities and to endure our sufferings. For
your servants who are sick, especially from our Parish
family, we ask that your blessing will give them
strength to overcome their weakness through the
power of patience and the comfort of hope and that
with your aid they will soon be restored to health. We
ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

OUR LADY’S LATEST MESSAGE
Dear Children! Pray with me for a new life for all of
you. In your hearts, little children, you know what
needs to be changed. Return to God and His
Commandments, so that the Holy Spirit may change
your lives and the face of this earth, which is in need of
renewal in the spirit. Little children, be prayer for all
those who do not pray; be joy for all those who do not
see the way out; be carriers of light in the darkness of
this peaceless time. Pray and seek the help and
protection of the saints so that you also could yearn
for Heaven and Heavenly realities. I am with you and
am protecting and blessing all of you with my
motherly blessing. Thank you for having responded to

DIOCESE OF NORWICH MEMORY PAGE
In this time of social distancing due to Covid-19, the Diocese of
Norwich Office of Faith Events seeks to support grieving families
whose loved ones have died by including the names of their
deceased loved ones on a MEMORY PAGE on the Diocese of
Norwich Website.
If you have lost a loved one in the past few months and would like
his or her name included on this page, please email his or her full
name, birth, and death dates to:
Mary-Jo McLaughlin, Catholic Family Services,
[email protected]. (The names will be changed
Periodically).
Let us all honor and remember those we have loved and lost
holding them in thought and prayer.
CATHOLIC CHARITES NEEDS YOUR HELP!
Due to the enormous impact of Covid-19, we are quickly running
out of resources to help all of those who come to us in need within
the Diocese of Norwich. Requests for our services are
overwhelming! All donations are welcome especially monetary
donations of any size, baby items such as diapers & wipes, and non-
perishable food. Call 860-889-8346 or visit ccfsn.org.
RESUMPTION OF WEEKEND MASSES
In coordination with the Archdiocese of Hartford, parishes of the Diocese of
Norwich may resume the public celebration of Sunday Mass, including any
anticipated Mass(es) on Saturday evening, beginning the weekend of July 4
and 5. Indoor gatherings are limited to 25% of capacity of the indoor space or a
maximum of 100 people, whichever is smaller.
These limits presume strict adherence to social distancing guidelines which
require six (6) feet of distance between individuals and households.
Households may sit together.
The obligation to attend Sunday Mass will remain dispensed for all the faithful
in the Diocese of Norwich until further notice.
Because space is limited, parishioners who are able to attend a Weekday
Mass are encouraged, out of charity for their neighbor, to consider doing so in
lieu of a Sunday Mass.
We are enlisting the assistance of volunteers who are not in vulnerable
categories to keep track of and maintain these limits as well as to assist
people who may need help finding a seat.
WE ARE ALSO ENLISTING THE ASSISTANCE OF VOLUNTEERS TO CLEAN
AND SANITIZE THE PEWS AFTER EACH MASS. We are asking you to contact
Jane at the rectory (860-875-8552) or Kim Bocchino in the Faith Formation
Office at 860-875-4951 and let either one know which Mass and Date you will
be assisting in this matter.
FAITH FORMATION
ONLINE REGISTRATION WILL BEGIN ON WEDNESDAY, JULY 2, 2020. We ask that every
family please register by July 15th if possible. This will help to determine the number of
students by grade level, how many teachers are needed, how to properly space students
in the parish center , plan arrival and dismissal for in person classes as well as planning for
the possibility of Virtual Online Classes. I encourage all families to register online this year.
To do this go to our website www.stlukeellington.com, click on the register button and fill
out all required fields.
Payment will be made online using PayPal which accepts credit/debit cards, checks or
PayPal balances. We have started an “Adopt a Student” fund. If you are unable to pay the
