PRELUDE We Are God’s People John Patrick Hutchinson

RECOGNITION OF GRADUATES Rev. Allen Bingham and Mary Griffith

CALL TO WORSHIP This Is the Day Youth Choir

OPENING PRAYER Stephanie Holder

*HYMN Broken Vessels Hillsong

PROCLAMATION AND RESPONSE

*AFFIRMATION The Apostle’s Creed UM Hymnal, 881

I believe in God the Father Almighty,

maker of heaven and earth;

And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord:

who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,

born of the Virgin Mary,

suffered under Pontius Pilate,

was crucified, dead, and buried;

the third day he arose from the dead;

he ascended into heaven,

and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;

from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,

the holy catholic church,

the communion of saints,

the forgiveness of sins,

the resurrection of the body,

and the life everlasting. Amen.

*GLORIA PATRIA Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost;

As it was in the beginning, in now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

TESTIMONY AND SONG Clean Meagan McGuire

PSALTER (Psalm 148) Jessie Matheson Praise the Lord!

Praise the Lord from the heavens; praise him in the heights!

Praise him, all his angels; praise him, all his host!

Praise him, sun and moon; praise him, all you shining stars!

Praise him, you highest heavens, and you waters above the heavens!

Let them praise the name of the Lord,

for he commanded and they were created.

He established them forever and ever;

he fixed their bounds, which cannot be passed.

Praise the Lord from the earth, you sea monsters and all deeps,

fire and hail, snow and frost, stormy wind fulfilling his command!

Mountains and all hills, fruit trees and all cedars!

Wild animals and all cattle, creeping things and flying birds!

Kings of the earth and all peoples, princes and all rulers of the earth!

Young men and women alike, old and young together!

Let them praise the name of the Lord, for his name alone is exalted;

his glory is above earth and heaven.

He has raised up a horn for his people, praise for all his faithful,

for the people of Israel who are close to him.

Praise the Lord!

SCRIPTURE SONG Lead Me to the Cross Hillsong

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

SCRIPTURE AND TESTIMONY Ashley McGuire John 13:34-35 Love One Another

RESPONSE The Covenant Prayer Stephanie Barret I am no longer my own, but thine.

Put me to what thou will, rank me with whom thou wilt.

Put me to doing, put me to suffering.

Let me be employed by thee or laid aside for thee,

exalted for thee or brought low by thee.

Let me be full, let me be empty.

Let me have all things, let me have nothing.

I freely and heartily yield all things to thy pleasure and disposal.

And now, O glorious and blessed God,

Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,

thou art mine, and I am thine. So be it.

And the covenant which I have made on earth,

let it be ratified in heaven. Amen.

For the next 4 weeks we are taking monetary donations for the NC Storm Relief.
