On 21

st December 2013 Pre-Christmas events were held

in Sitapakha, Lalitpur & Budhanilkanta, Kathmandu. Both of

the events were in partnership with Nepal Korea International

College and MilestoneChurch in Kathmandu. 475 kids

and 35 parents participated

at the event in Lalitpur

and 30 made salvation

decisions. Kids enjoyed the pro-

gram which included action

songs, dance, drama, and an

vangecube gospel presentation.

Kids were each given a gift

containing a jacket and gospel

tracts. They were then provided lunch after the event. Biseswor

Koirala (Senior Social Mobilizing Officer, Lalitpur district) joined

our event and helped distribute the gifts to the children.

At the Kathmandu event, 60 kids out of 125 made salvation

decisions. Most of the kids were

from the carpet factory. There

are five factories that employ

hundreds of families work and

their children do not have any

facilities for growth. Kids were

given the same Christmas gift as

was given in Lalitpur.

Also, Pre Christmas was held on 12

December, 2103 at Burigaun,

Bardiya. Altogether there were 240

children and among them 60 kids

were saved in Christ. Thank you for

supporting us financially and

through prayers.

4 -14 Pastors Conference was held on the 6

th of January

2014. There were 28 Pastors and leaders from 21 different churches. The event was held at Dharan Ishai Sangati, Dharan, Sunsari. “I am very much blessed by attending this meeting. I am im-pressed to know more about kids and their importance as the future leadership of the church and the nation. I will even en-courage all of my seven branch churches leaders to attend this Seed Planter’s Training. I would like to thank Awana for provid-ing us this opportunity to conduct Awana Club in our church.” -Ps. Joseph Rai, Emmanuel Kripa Church

Reaching Children-At-Risk 4-14 Pastors Conference

“20 new children have come in Christ through Awana. In our church,

we jointly have started to preach. While going for preaching, we take

our club children also. They are very much interested to share the gos-

pel of God to other people. Seeing children interested towards it, par-

ents are impressed and happy. Our church member helps the children

willingly in any of the activity.

Before coming to Awana, I thought it was hard to run the Sunday

school. But now after the training, I am able to guide and teach the

children the word of God. I learned many things to run the children

fellowship effectively. Please do pray for our club, church and country

Nepal. -Manju Midhun, Abhisekh Church, Hasaura, Kawasoti

We had 3-month follow-up training in Rajapur on 15 and in

Kohalpur on 30 December, 2013. In Rajapur, we met with

21 leaders from 17 different churches at Naya Jeevan

Church. Then on the 30th we had training at Pratigya

Church, Kohalpur with 6 leaders from 6 churches. They

have trained 54 more leaders and all of their churches have

started Awana clubs within a month. Here are testimonies

from some of the Awana leaders:

“After the SeedPlanters training, I was able to handle Sunday class systematically. I could easily tell the children what I had learned. All fear was gone away and I could speak confidently. Now I can encourage kids for their Spiritual growth and teach them through stories.” -Punam Chaudhary, Kohalpur “After starting Awana clubs, I learned that to attract children we should show them love, and tell stories. We can also attract them through games and food.” -Jug Ram Tharu, Rajapur
