Prayer Guide Our Nation

Heavenly Father,

WWe come before you with a surrendered and humbled heart. We humble ourselves and pray that you would heal our land (2 Chronicles 7:14). We confess to you that we, your people, have been lethargic and apathetic. We have allowed our nation to drift from Biblical foundations and the cornerstones of our Republic. We confess that we too often have been comfortable with our own seeming success and not broken by the condition of our people and our communities. We confess that we have not been faith-ful to raise up our own children and in our own churches to have an encounter with God aand have often settled for a form of godliness, while denying the power thereof. Lord, hear our prayer. Please Lord, come and bring healing and justice, hope and peace, vision and conviction to our Nation.

Lord, we your people claim the promise of Isaiah 61 where in the strong name of Jesus we proclaim release to the captives, sight to the blind, good news to the poor, and that you will clothe us in a garment of praise rather than a spirit of despair. Further, we declare that our Nation will hold forth by the Body of Christ as a prevailing church and not as a retreating church, that your people will be "..called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord, the for the display of His splendor" (Isaiah 61:4). Yes Lord, we see your hand at work and we partner with you.

WWe pray that you would lift up the one who you have set your hand upon. Lift up the one who will seek first your Kingdom (Matthew 6:33) and your righteousness, and who will help to reset our nation on Biblical foundations for your glory.
