PRAYER FOCUS - JULY 29, 2018
To activate the Prayer Chain, call Ruth Wiebe: 306-931-2982
1. Missionary Focus: Pray for Wes & Carol Schellenberg. "It is high time for an
update, and we have big news. Carol and I are moving from Calgary to
Winnipeg. We are making a transition from InterAct Ministries of Canada
back to Avant Ministries Canada." *Praise the Lord for clear direction. We
have no doubts that God is orchestrating this move. *Pray that the transition
will be smooth for InterAct as we make the switch to Avant. *Pray that we will
be able to sell our house for a reasonable price. The housing market is slow
in Calgary but quite active in Winnipeg. *Pray that we would not become
anxious in the middle of the hundreds of small decisions that need to be made
in the next few months.

Note from our Council: We have recently completed revisions to our church
constitution & bylaws. As members, you need to be made aware of these
changes, and after one year, a vote can be held on whether to adopt them or
not. The major changes are: 1) Updating the language and format of our
statement of faith. 2) Separating our church constitution from the church
bylaws. 3) Updating the language in the document and the structures and
processes within our church. The last revision was in 1990, so some of our
boards & committees have changed, etc. To save paper, we'd like to email
you a copy of the proposed constitution. Please contact the office in order to
receive that. Paper copies can be made available upon request. Contact the
office or a council member with questions.
KADESH CORNER: Wow! Summer is halfway done! Pray for our speaker for
next week- Camryn Jackson and for the energy of our staff. Often the halfway
mark is a point where sickness and tiredness really set in. ** The camp is
looking for a person or people to cook one supper meal on Friday for the staff-
usually about 40 people. Kadesh can reimburse any expense. If interested
you can contact Tim Good ([email protected]) or Chef Karen Kruger
([email protected]) for more details. Thank you to all that support us
through finical, prayers, and volunteering!
