1. Missions: Please pray for Nate & Tash Enns, serving in Asia Pacific, with NTM Canada: "In our last newsletter we asked for prayer about the decision to work with the Batero people. Some felt strongly about not working there: the hurdle of finding enough language helpers was too large and, since God never clearly directed us to work with the Batero people, we had to go along with the team's decision. We pray that God will direct another team to learn their language and teach them His plan of salvation. We have been tentatively putting out feelers in the direction of various other people groups elsewhere in the province, but I (Nate) have been losing heart with each setback. At what point is it safe to assume that God has something else planned for us? We finally came to that realization late in April. There was a lack of peace and we talked about it a great deal and concluded that we just want to do what God wants us to do. How freeing it was to realize that God was leading us in a new direction. We don't know what God has in store for us, but there are areas of service to be useful in while we look for God's direction. Please pray for continued direction for God's will in the future."

3. Illness: -Pray for Marie Bowden, Eva Regehr's mother, who fell and broke several bones last week. Pray for quick healing and good pain management. -Pray for Verna Froese, recovering from knee surgery. -Pray for healing of a burst blood vessel in Garth Loeppky's eye. -Tina Fehr now needs to have another ct scan, this time with a scope into her lungs. The first scan showed a partially collapsed left lung and a blockage, likely linked to the COPD & her fall. Please pray for the new scan to happen soon and for healing. -Pray for Anna Doell who has been struggling with various health concerns. -Pray for Susan Harder, dealing with various health concerns.

SEC NEWS Benevolence Pantry: Thank you for your faithful giving! We are running low on non-perishable food items at this time. If you are able to help out, please place your donation in the bin beside the mailboxes.

Summer Hours: Our Sunday School teachers are enjoying a well-deserved break! There will be no Sunday School from now until September 3. Our worship service will continue with a 10:30AM start time. Also, coffee will not be available during the summer.

June 21: The fence behind the Admin building is being removed on Wednesday, June 21 @ 6PM (or as soon as you can). Please call Steve Regehr with your commitment to help before June 18th: 306-370-5969. Ten guys are needed to commit to the job so we can make it a quick removal. If you know of someone that would like the material, have them come by on June 21.

June 29, 7PM: Mission Night @ SEC with a report from Christlike's missionary couple, Joel & Amber Cera (from Juarez, Mexico). Joel & Amber have recently been added to the list of missionaries that we support. Because Amber is expecting a baby (girl) in the fall, we are giving the opportunity to bless them and invite anyone wishing to, to bring along a baby gift.

July 7-9: Gathering 2017 is an EMMC-wide event July 7-9, celebrating God’s goodness. Join in worship, learning and interaction at Soul Sanctuary, 2050 Chevrier Blvd, Winnipeg. Guest speaker Mark Clark will focus on the theme “20/20 A Clear Vision of the Gospel”. Check out the list of workshops and missionary presentations. FREE event, but we need you to register at www.emmc.ca.

August 20: Region 1 Joint Worship Service @ VCA. All the churches will be joining together for morning worship service & noon meal. Each church is asked to provide one couple or two individuals to be part of a food committee to plan lunch. If you would be willing to help in this way, please contact the church office. (There will be no service @ SEC that Sunday.)

Kadesh News: Campership funds are still available if you know of a child you'd like to send to camp. Please be in prayer for the spring season. May saw 605 students visiting camp. Pray for those kids and for those coming in June; that the Kadesh staff will be a light in their world.
