Prayer and Evangelism Fellowship Targeting South Philadelphia and nearby areas God has also called the Grassos to break ground in a new ministry area, The Prayer & Evangelism Fellowship. We are asking God to establish a beachhead of biblical evangelism in South Philadelphia. This is a needy, multi-ethnic, inner-city section of Philadelphia of over 150,000 souls with a desperate need for the gospel. Recognizing that the IMPACT Evangelism Week ministry often takes the Grassos out of town, Mark began prayerfully recruiting a leadership and ministry team committed to prayer, evangelism, and discipleship. This team includes pastor/preachers & evangelists, but is mostly comprised of everyday Christians interested in South Philly and in making disciples. About 35 total have attended with 20 committed to regular ministry. Our group prioritizes corporate prayer for the lost. Each first Saturday we meet for extensive prayer, to seek God's forgiveness and power, repent of worldliness & self-reliance, and pray more earnestly for the lost. Our goal is not to minister without much praying, so no other ministry besides worship is scheduled or will be scheduled every first weekend. These prayer meetings are from 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. at Snyder Avenue Congregational Church, 300 Snyder Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19148. We ordinarily meet the second or third Saturday, or both, for evangelism. Seeking the lost, at Dunkin Donuts, cafes and other public places; also, door to door, primarily using questionnaires, one on one. Occasionally, there is also street preaching. As needed, we follow up with initial discipleship teams on the on the third or fourth Saturday. We meet at 1:30 p.m. at the Snyder Avenue Congregational Church for fellowship and a brief time of prayer and instruction before evangelizing in the neighborhood for about 90 minutes. So far, there is a discipleship group for the committed participants on second & fourth Tuesdays, at various homes in or near South Philadelphia. This group studies biblical doctrine, and evangelism, discipleship, and leadership issues. Later, our plan is to add brief series of evangelistic and initial discipleship studies in new believers' homes, as needed. We are also praying about starting Evangelistic preaching services on Sunday evenings near the end of 2013. We praise God for the generous hospitality of Snyder Avenue Congregational Church and various believers' homes, for all of these activities. You are needed to pray, give, and to go...with us! Thank you for prayerfully considering your partnership in this ministry. Prayer and Evangelism Fellowship

Targeting South Philadelphia and nearby areas

God has also called the Grassos to break ground in a new ministry area, The Prayer & Evangelism Fellowship.
