Faith Connections

2020 is full of hope and promise from

the Lord for our church family. God is at work

in the life of our church family and good

things are happening as a result. 2020 will

certainly be an exciting year as we

continue to follow the leading of the Holy

Spirit to do the next faithful thing. There will

be BBQ fundraisers and mission trips, Easter

egg hunt and Oconee Outreach Opportunity,

Sunday School Convention and Camp

Meeting, Vacation Bible School and Youth

Trips, UMW and UMM events, fish fry and

Wednesday Night Suppers, and who knows

what God will lead us to do in this new year.

Please join me on Saturday, January 25,

9am-2pm for our annual Church-Wide

Planning Summit. This planning event is open

to the entire church family. As the name of the

event indicates, this will be a time focused on planning mission and

ministry for 2020. Committee chairs should plan to get meeting dates on the

calendar for the year at this meeting. Particular focus will be given to the

following ministry areas of: children, youth, intergenerational, missions,

outreach. Everyone involved in or interested in these areas of ministry will

especially want to make sure and attend.

As we look toward planning mission and ministry in this new year, let us

begin with prayer. Join me in praying for this year's Planning Summit that we

will seek God and follow His direction faithfully as we continue Loving God,

Loving People, Growing Together and Moving Forward!
