FAITH THAT PLEASES GOD

II

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is,

and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently

seek Him.Hebrews

11:6

But without faith it is impossible to please Him,

if there is anyone who we ought to please, it should

be God.

for he who comes to God must believe that He is,

Our first hurdle is

believing that God exists.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And

the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the

waters Genesis 1:1-

The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows

His handiwork.

Psalm 19:1

The fool has said In his heart, “There is no

God.”

Psalm 14:1

And God said to Moses,“I AM WHO I AM.” And

He said, “Thus you shall say

to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you

Exodus 3:14

God is eternal. Nobody created God; He created all things, and He sustains all

things.

But the cowardly, unbelieving,

abominable, murderers, sexually immoral,

sorcerers, idolaters,

Revelation 21:8

and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.

Revelation 21:8

You believe that there is one God. You do

well. Even the demons believe—and tremble!

James 2:19

He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him

faith which is

demonstrated in diligent seeking and doing.

But do you want to know,

O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our

father justified by worksJames 2:20-

when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? Do

you see that faith was

working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect?James 2:20-

God is pleased with faith or by those who put their

faith in Him.

God is displeased by unbelief, and for those who do not believe in God, their immoral, sinful lifestyle will result in their condemnation

in a place, a lake burning with fire and brimstone.

If you have faith enough to pray,

you can please God:

Pray for God’s mercy or forgiveness.

Forgiveness is the greatest of all gifts that we can

receive from God.

Manasseh was twelve years old when he became king, and he reigned fifty-

five years in Jerusalem. But he did evil

in the sight of the Lord,

according to the abominations of the

nations whom the Lord had cast out before the children of Israel. For he rebuilt the high places


which Hezekiah his father had broken down; he

raised up altars for the Baals, and made wooden

images;


and he worshiped all the host of heaven[a] and

served them. He also built altars in the house of the

Lord, of which the Lord had said, “In Jerusalem shall My

name be forever.” 2 Chronicles 33:1-

And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the

Lord. Also he caused his sons to pass through the fire in

the Valley of the Son of Hinnom;2 Chronicles 33:1-

17

he practiced soothsaying, used witchcraft and sorcery, and consulted mediums and spiritists. He did much evil in

the sight of the Lord, to provoke Him to anger.


He even set a carved image, the idol which he had made, in the house of God, of which God had said to David and to

Solomon his son, “In this house and in Jerusalem,


which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I will put My name forever; and I will not again remove the foot of Israel from the land


which I have appointed for your fathers—only if they are careful to do all that I have

commanded them, according to the whole law and the

statutes and the ordinances by the hand of Moses.”


So Manasseh seduced Judah and the inhabitants

of Jerusalem to do more evil than the nations whom the Lord had destroyed before

the children of Israel.


And the Lord spoke to Manasseh and his people, but they would not listen.

Therefore the Lord brought upon them the captains of

the army of the king of Assyria,


who took Manasseh with hooks,[b] bound him with

bronze fetters, and carried him off to Babylon. Now

when he was in affliction, he implored the Lord his God,


and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers, and prayed to Him; and He received his

entreaty, heard his supplication,


and brought him back to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the Lord was God. After this he built a wall outside the

City of David


on the west side of Gihon,

in the valley, as far as the entrance of the Fish Gate;

and it enclosed Ophel, and he raised it to a very great height.


Then he put military captains in all the

fortified cities of Judah. He took away the foreign

gods and the idol from the house of the Lord,


and all the altars that he had built in the mount of the house of the Lord and in Jerusalem; and he cast

them out of the city.


He also repaired the altar

of the Lord, sacrificed peace offerings and thank offerings on it,

and commanded Judah2 Chronicles

33:1-17

to serve the Lord God of Israel. Nevertheless the people still sacrificed on

the high places, but only to the Lord their

God.2 Chronicles

33:1-17

Moreover Manasseh shed very much innocent blood, till he had filled Jerusalem from one end to another,

besides his sin by which he made Judah sin, in doing

evil in the sight of the Lord.Kings 21:

And the Lord spoke to Manasseh

and his people, but they would not listen. Therefore the Lord

God in His mercy sent prophets

to bring His people back to Him.

before God sends His judgment, He sends the

prophetic voice which begin with Holy Spirit and His Word.

it makes the heart cold

and hard towards God,

and ultimately can cause unbelief.

Now when he was in affliction,

he implored the Lord his God,

and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers,

and prayed to Him; 2 Chronicles 33:12-

and He received his entreaty, heard his

supplication, and brought him back to

Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the Lord was God.


The evil king had faith

enough to pray for God to

forgive Him.

Not only that, God’s grace was such that he was

allowed to continue to reign

and brought reforms and progress to

Judah.

All because he had faith to ask for God’s mercy

and forgiveness.

We have to understand that

God is good, and His mercies endure forever.

no matter how far we’ve gone from

Him, no mater how deep in sin we have sunk, and no matter how filthy we have

become from wallowing in

immoral lifestyle, God is still good and

merciful.

Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty

things, which you do not know.’

Jeremiah 33:3

“Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the Lord, “Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they

are red like crimson, They shall

be as wool.Isaiah 1:18

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to

forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

1 John 1:9

It takes faith to believe that God can forgive you.

Forgiveness is the first and greatest gift from God. It restores our relationship

with Him.

If you have faith enough to pray,

you can please God:

Pray for a miracle from God.

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is,

and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him

Hebrews 11:6

With men this impossible, but with

God all things are possible.

Matthew 19:26

For with God nothing will be impossible.

Luke 1:37

If you have faith enough to pray for a miracle, you can please God. If you can please God,

you can move His heart; and if you

can move His heart, you can move His hand

Examples in the Bible:

Luke 18:35-43, A blind man calls out:

Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me! When Jesus asked, What do you want

Me to do for you?


Luke 18:35-43, He replied, Lord, that I may receive my sight.

Jesus said, Receive your sight; your faith has made

you well.


James 5:17, Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for

three years.

Now when He rose early on the first day of the week, He appeared first to Mary

Magdalene, out of whom He had cast seven demons.

She went and told those who had been with Him,

as they mourned and wept.

table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of

heart, because they did not believe those who had seen

Him after He had risen.

preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized

but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out

demons;

serpents; and if they drink anything deadly,

it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will

recover.”

So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He

them and confirming the word through the

accompanying signs. Amen.

Believing is key to miracles.

Believing the signs will follow as Jesus

said. Do you believe His words.


Believe in what Jesus said in Mark’s great commission because in reading the

Book of Acts, we find that Peter and Paul did

miraculous as said by our Lord Jesus.
