Dear friends,
Minoru Aihara and Fujiko Sakamoto
were
engaged
on Jan. 27th, It
had
been
23 years since we had attended an enga
gement
ceremony.
Newcomers t o Japan,
we thought it was a wedding. In
the
in
terval
I
have had 27 weddings wi t h
this
being my first
engagement
ceremony. The
wedding
is set
for
June.
In our Christmas 'letter' we asked
prayer about the possibilities of using
video recordings in evangelism and tea
ching. Yuichi 'Nick' Nakagawa
is pre
sently finishing his studies at Cincin
nati
Technical Institute for this
kind
of work and
is
interested in doing that
kind of service.
He'll
return this
June. Continue
to pray
for

You
will remember tha t our Kanto Evangeli zing Ass' n

we

four days
with
the Mark

We

Most of

giving much response.
Volunteer workers
are
pillars in our structure of Direct Support
Mi s

Lou
and Harry

been serving without pay

As
we
salute them
we
are reminded tha
they sp end

Akers
and

The Akers,
in addition to
forwarding bundles
of
the

to our churches,have traveled thousands
of

We were
so encouraged
last
year
when
the Community
Christian
Church,
Lake Worth, Florida
d,ecided
to
join
us as partners
in
this work. Then, this
year they have notified us that their gifts will be increased. Long
time
friends, Jim and J
Greenwood
(C.B.S.
days
and South Bend
Area dayb) are
ministering to this congregation.
We t
God
for this trust and those of others
who
have increased
their
committments. The most recen
of
these is
the
First Christian
Church,
Bradenlon, Fla. Jack Fawley, their new
minister,
is
stranger
to
us
though we
haven't
met since
our
days at C.B.S.
So we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. II Cor. 5*20
