Extension Agriculture…• At present Agriculture support has been extended
from SDTT in both Delta & Hill area.• Carried on SRI-Promotion with villagers through
SHGs and beyond in Gosaba (S24), Mal & Nagrakata (Jalpaiguri)
• Reached out 6213 farmers (4205 in Sunderban & 2008 in Dooars) with an amount scaling i.e. Govt. leverage Rs.3,86,934 & farmers Rs. 38,69,567 in Dooars. Following this in Gosaba Govt. leverage Rs. 3,05,804 & farmers Rs. 44,27,930.
• Kept on updating the Agri-Dept.• 90% of the vegetable mini-kit for Nagrakata and
Gosaba handed over to PRASARI for SHGs; covered 1463 families on 1369 decimal.
• On own initiative of farmers SRI carried out in Sunderban is 1033 bigha with engagement of 887 farmers & in Dooars it goes 259 bigha with 307 farmers.
• Implementation of vermi compost in Sunderban is 606 beds & for Dooars its 812 beds. Own contribution by farmers is Rs. 17,01,600.
• In Sunderban, PRI has given 50 vermi-compost beds whose monetary value is approx Rs. 10 lakhs.

Ag-Dept. extended more support….• Common meeting between
PRASARI-ADA-PRI on SRI up-scaling
• Dept. deputed two of its staffs for disease-pest management training for PRASARI farmers (SRI+Veg)
• ADA transferred BGREI entire kit of the Block to PRASARI for 1000 farmers along with phases of trainings by Dept. to farmers on field
• Jointly organized kissan mela for 14 GPs of Gosaba.

Extension Animal Husbandries…• Livestock Dept. supported
vaccines for all goats in 6 GPs of Gosaba, Sunderban.
• Community paid the vaccine costs and carrying costs (which are not free)
• NO PPR this year for goat• Chickens, pigs and cows are
vaccinated completely

Extension Fishery…
• 510 families following proper package of practice
• All practicing families are linked to quality suppliers of fry and purchased collectively
• Feeding fish is now a habit• Demand generated for
supply of feed and fry to a scale
• Fishery Extension Officer trained 148 families and wishes to work together

Extension five square model; MGNREGS• Standardized the design• Lots of Arguments between
PRASARI Engineers and Block Engineers on stability of slopes: finally could convince technically (Courtesy WRDD-GoWB)
• Model justifying the hypothesis-salinity & water logging prevention
• Leveraged 13 structures in 2 GPs amounting 12.9 lakhs & 220 are under process with value in Rs. 1crore for 3years.
• Appreciated by FAO of UN-World Bank intends to study the model.

• Brief about the project:
– Using gravity diversion (Pipe Based) of river (Daina) water for irrigating 430 ha. of land in two mouzas, Uppar Kalabari and Hridaypur, of Angrabhasa-I Gram Panchayat.
– Total 3.3 Km Parallel pipeline with many outlets and a inspection chamber
– Renovation of inlet at the river embankment– Three concrete water diversion structures and a siltation chamber– Total Project cost: Rs 1.3 crore (funded by SDTT)– 1160 beneficiary families– Post infrastructural implementation livelihood promotion
