Inside the Suit Closet of an OCD Person!

The Proverbs 31 Woman 10 Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far above rubies. 11 The heart of her husband safely trusts her; So he will have no lack of gain. 12 She does him good and not evil all the days of her life. 13 She selects wool and flax, and willingly works with eager hands. 14 She is like the merchant ships, She brings her food from afar. 15 She also rises while it is yet night, And provides food for her household, And a portion for her maidservants. 16 She considers a field and buys it; From her profits she plants a vineyard. 17 She girds herself with strength, And strengthens her arms. 18 She perceives that her merchandise is good, And her lamp does not go out by night. 19 She stretches out her hands to the distaff, And her hand holds the spindle. 20 She extends her hand to the poor, Yes, she reaches out her hands to the needy. 21 She is not afraid of snow for her household, For all her household is clothed with scarlet. 22 She makes tapestry for herself; Her clothing is fine linen and purple. 23 Her husband is known in the gates, When he sits among the elders of the land. 24 She makes linen garments and sells them, And supplies sashes for the merchants. 25 Strength and honor are her clothing; She shall rejoice in time to come. 26 She opens her mouth with wisdom, And on her tongue is the law of kindness. 27 She watches over the affairs of her household, and does not eat the bread of idleness. 28 Her children rise up and call her blessed; Her husband also, and he praises her: 29 "Many daughters have done well, But you excel them all." 30 Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised. 31 Give her of the fruit of her hands, And let her own works praise her in the gates.

The Proverbs 31 WomanHow Do We Increase Our Desire to Serve Our Family?

1. Pray for God to give you eager hands and an eager attitude.2. Do your work as unto the Lord. Colossians 3:23 says, Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.3. Change your perspective Each mundane chore you complete for your family is a labor of love. As you grocery shop, cook dinner, fold laundry, clean out sinks, remember that these small tasks all together equal a well nurtured home and family. Without one word, your actions of eagerness speak volumes of love to your husband and children. 4. Research and find inspiration. Have you heard of Pinterest? 5. Rest if you work all day with eager hands you will feel exhausted. Do not let your exhaustion and need for rest discourage you. If all day long you have been feeding and caring for babies and toddlers, listening, comforting, training and teaching your children plus cleaning and cooking - you will be tired. God never condemns rest. He condemns laziness.

1. Light a Candle each day. Every time you pass it, pray for peace. She puts hers in the center of her home, her kitchen. I put mine in my dining room, the room Im constantly passing through. Simply the aroma of a candle when theres no one special coming over makes ME feel special.2. Play soft music in your home. This can be worship, classical, or any other peaceful form of music. I leave mine playing constantly softly in my front room.3. Focus on the kitchen, the heart of the home. Cook things with pleasant aromas. Pick a meal or treat that the family can cook together.4. De-Clutter. List a few spots in your home that make you visually stressed because of all the clutter. Work on cleaning and organizing those areas.

Give thanks to God for the home He has given you in which to create a haven for your family.

I believe we women can create a physical environment, as well as a spiritual environment, that can bring peace, harmony and a sense of calmness to our homes if we are willing to be intentional. Courtney Joseph WomenLivingWell.org
