Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA)
Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) was
established in 1984 under U.P. Urban Planning and Development Act
1973. Its function is to ensure integrated, planned and sustainable
development of Dehradun & Mussoorie. Recently MDDA has been
entrusted the task to fulfil, need of Affordable Housing under the
AHP Component of PMAY.
Under AHP component, MDDA is in the process to construct 1996
houses against the target of 15000 houses by 2022.
MDDA has successfully completed 224 EWS and 144 LIG houses at Transport Nagar, Dehradun in 18 month period and process for allotment to the identified beneficiaries is going on and shall be completed by the end of this month. Apart from above scheme, construction of 240 EWS & 80 LIG units at Aamwala Tarla Dehradun is also under going and shall be completed by November 2018. The process of allotment of these units have also started . Two other schemes for construction of 1108 EWS units has recently been approved by CSMC in August 2018 for which process for construction has also been initiated.

To achieve the goal to provide housing to deprived section of the
society under Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojna , Uttarakhand Government
has formulated Housing Policy 2017. Five different models has been
proposed under the policy -
Model -2: Complete Affordable Housing : By Private developer on Private land
Model-3: Part Affordable Housing : By Private developer on Private land
Model-4: Affordable Housing : By Private developer or by Govt. Organisation on
Govt. land
Model-5: Affordable Housing : For Govt. Organisation ( Development Authority,
Local Bodies, Parastatal Organizations)
Model -1: Normal Group Housing : By Private developer on Private land
Model -1: Normal Group Housing : By Private developer on Private land
Minimum Plot Area Plain Regions – 2000 Sqm , Hilly Regions – 1000 Sqm
Ground Coverage Plain Regions – 35 % , Hilly Regions – 40 %
F.A.R. Plain Regions – 1.8, Hilly Regions – 1.4 (G+3)
Provision for EWS Either 15% of Total number of Units or 25% of FAR area
BUA of EWS Unit 25-35 Sqm
Plot Area of EWS Unit 30-45 Sqm
