Introduction

Housing For All (Urban) Mission of Prime Ministers Awas Yojana (PMAY)

was launched by the Hon’ble Prime Minister on 17th of June, 2015 to address the

housing shortage across the country by 2022.

During Phase-I, the following 25 cities/towns were included on the basis of

descending urban population as per 2011 census:-

Housing & Urban Development Department has designated J&K Housing Board

as State Level Nodal Agency (SLNA) for implementation of Housing For All

(Urban) Mission in the State.

Housing Demand Survey was conducted by agency selected through e-tendering

process in which 1,21,671 beneficiaries were identified under four verticals and

accordingly HFAPoA for 25 cities/town was prepared and sanctioned by CSMC

(GOI)
