Jo Sharpen is a qualified youth worker with person centred counselling training. She is a qualified trainer and is a nationally recognised leader in the field of children and young people affected by gender based violence and abuse. She has wrien national guidance for the Home Office and numerous toolkits and training packages. In this seminar, Jo will provide an overview of teenage relationship abuse, and discuss: • The use of technology as both a tool to abuse and a way to seek help; • An exploration of child to parent abuse; • The teenage brain, and whether we need to rethink how we work with and support teens who have experienced abuse; • Assessing risk and planning for safety.
