• Job 1 - Risk Assess jobs being done and equipment used – Eliminate exposure

• Job 2 – Control - HSE Vibration Points• Exposure Action Value – 100 Points – keep

below if possible and make sure health surveillance is done

• Exposure Limit Value – 400 Points – maximum a worker can be exposed to in a working day


Managing the Risk

Risk Assessing is simply done:• Look at the whole job• How many workers• What equipment is being used• Different equipment exposes the worker to

different amounts of vibration• This is known as the vibration dose
