The PearsonAccessnext AdvantagePearsonAccessnext will be used to:
• View student enrollment counts for K-PREP*
• Choose Shipment Option Date for K-PREP test materials to arrive in districts
• Order accommodated testing materials (Braille, Large-Print, Audio and Text Reader (PC, Mac, iPad and/or Chrome)**
• Order additional materials if the district has a shortage
• Update district and school profiles/addresses
• View online testing for the EOC test administration
* NOTE: Districts will be able to view the participation counts for testing materials at each school by grade, but will NOT be able to edit these number counts. Explained on slide 21.
** NOTE: Students with a Text Reader accommodation will access their test via the Lexiflow viewer through a secure browser with a unique username and password.

Getting Started on PearsonAccessnext
Logging Into PearsonAccessnext:• Go to: https://ky.pearsonaccessnext.com/customer• This will take you to the Kentucky Homepage:
All DACs should have a username and password; if not please contact Kentucky Department of Education (KDE). Once KDE informs Pearson of a DAC update an account will be created and an auto E-mail will be sent from PearsonAccessnext System. If a new DAC did not receive this E-mail please contact the Pearson Customer Service Center at 1-888-437-1430 or click on the Contact Kentucky Support on the home page in PearsonAccessnext.

How To Log Into PearsonAccessnext
Step 1: Begin on the PAN Landing Page: https://ky.pearsonaccessnext.com/customer
Step 2: Click on the “Sign In” button:
Step 3: Enter your Username and Password:
Note: Forgot Username, Forgot Password,and Support link
Step 4: Click on the “Login” button:
Note: Account will be locked after 5 unsuccessful log-in attempts, 30 minutes of inactivity will automatically log users out. If locked out, DACs should contact contact the Pearson Customer Service Center at 1-888-437-1430 or click on the Contact Kentucky Support on the home page in PearsonAccessnext. BACs should contact their DACs.

Reset Your Password1. On the Login screen, click the Forgot
Password link.2. Enter your Username and E-mail address
and click Request Password Reset button.3. If both the Username and E-mail
addresses entered exactly match your user account information, you will be sent an E-mail with instructions for resetting your password.
4. Follow the instructions and password requirements to reset your password and then log in.
Note: Passwords must be 8-32 characters in length and must not include the following special characters, carat [^], ampersand [&], asterisk [*], and begin paren [(].

Forgot Your Username1. On the Login screen, click the
Forgot Username link to go to the Forgot Username screen.
2. Enter your E-mail address, and then click: E-mail User ID.
3. You will receive an E-mail from PearsonAccessnext System with your Username.

Understanding OrganizationsAn organization is an entity in the organizational hierarchy, such as a district or school. For example, District 3 and Columbus High School each are an organization. An organization must "exist" in the system before that organization can participate in testing or test-related activities, such as ordering materials. To update an organization, click Organizations.

View OrganizationsThere are two ways to view the organizations. Below to the upper right of the screen click on the down arrow next to the district name, this will provide a list of schools in the district that can be scrolled to what school is needed.

From here you can scroll through the school to the right or key in the school name in the “Parent Organization”.

Manage Participation-District LevelChoose a shipping option for your district K-PREP test materials to arrive. Check yourDistrict calendar to avoid test materials being delivered during spring break.
Edit Enrollments Count-School LevelThe regular counts are not editable. The only test materials that can be ordered are theaccommodated test materials such as Braille, Large-Print, Text Reader and Audio. Verifyenrollment count, if enrollment count discrepancies are greater than 15-20%,please contact KDE at: [email protected].
Manage Completion Statuses-School LevelOnce enrollment counts have been verified and accommodation materials are ordered clickon Manage Completion Statuses and click on Participation Entry Complete. Accommodationenrollments can be edited until the Participation window closes even when they are in aComplete status.
Manage Contacts-District/School Level-optionalContacts for both the district and school level can be edited on this screen.

Edit Enrollment CountsEnrollment counts refer to the number of students that will be taking a test. Participation counts are the main method for districts to view regular test materials for paper testing, such as test booklets and student response booklets. The regular counts are not editable. The only test materials that can be ordered are the accommodated test materials such as Braille, Large-Print, Text Reader and Audio.
As long as the Participation Window for entering accommodations is still open Accommodation counts can be updated, even if the status indicates “complete”. Accommodation counts are not considered final until the closing day of the Participation Window is reached. Accommodated counts can be changed, regardless of the status shown on the screen. Only after the window closes is an order for materials finalized and shipped, based on the participation counts as of the closing date. (See the Test Setup Overview screen for window opening and closing dates.)

Orders & Shipment TrackingYou use Orders & Shipment Tracking to order additional materials (short shipments, missing materials, etc.), it is also used to check on the status of existing orders and track order shipments.
