ERASMUS MUNDUS ACTION-2 LOT 13 EUPHRATES-INDIA

EUPHRATES (India -Europe)

• EUPHRATES -EU promotion of health through research, applied technology, education and science in India.

• This is an Erasmus Mundus Action 2 Project which provides: Funding for student & staff exchange mobility towards Europe from India.

• This offers a wide range of subject areas at different academic levels.


Scholarships and Priority Study Areas

• The scholarships are very comprehensive and cover participation fees, return travel, insurance and living subsistence.

Duration….

• The duration of mobility depends upon both the academic level of mobility and the Target Groups involved.

• However the project aims to be flexible and therefore offers its scholars different options ranging from one semester to 33 months.


Mobility Level Monthly Allowance • Undergraduate € 1.000 • Master € 1.000 • Doctorate € 1.500 • Post Doctorate € 1.800 • Staff € 2.500


FINANCIAL SUPPORT

Travel Subsidy • Scholars will receive one return travel

ticket to their host university including local travel to and from the airport.

Insurance • Scholars receive travel and health cover for

the duration of their exchange.


RequirementsCandidates must meet the following specific

requirements:• Undergraduate candidates: They must have

successfully completed at least one year of studies.

• Master candidates: They must have obtained a Bachelor diploma.

• PhD candidates: They must have obtained a Master degree


Beneficiaries

• This project involves mobility from India to Europe. • Candidates belonging to one of the following target

groups can be selected for an ERASMUS MUNDUS EUPHRATES grant:

• Target Group 1 (TG1) : Students and Academic Staff registered in one of the partner universities belonging to the consortium.

• Undergraduate students must have successfully completed at least one year of studies in their home institution;


• Target Group 2 (TG2): Students need either to be registered in or to have obtained a university degree or equivalent from a HEI in India (not included in the partnership).

• Target Group 3(TG3): Nationals of India in a particularly vulnerable situation due to social or political reasons as specified by the EMA21 Call.

Requirements….• Ph.D. and Post-doctorate candidates: Should Contact

their respective potential supervisors at the hosting institution before applying in order to get a preadmission letter. In several host Institutions pre-admission/ acceptance from a supervisor will be the main /priority condition for eligibility of the doctoral and Post-doctoral candidates.

• Academic/Administrative Staff: Both academic and administrative staff should contact their respective counterpart at the host university in order to accordingly draw up their teaching/work plan.
