Witch Trials research project.
Salem Witch Trials In order to understand The Crucible
more fully, we will do some independent research.
From your research, you will answer five questions and share your answers to those five questions to the class.
Some of you will have people that are in the play and others will not. Those who are not represented are still important.
Salem Witch Trials Continued… We will spend two days in the computer
lab doing research and preparing our projects.
You will not all present at once, we will space the presentations out to when your person is first featured in the play.
If your person is not in the play, you will go before we start Act IV.
The Assignment You have a copy of the rubric. It is broken down into three components. First is answering the five questions. Second is showing proof of research. Third is creatively presenting your
findings.
Part One Part One: (30 points) What was your character’s age during the witch
trials and how did that affect him or her? What was his/her occupation and social status? What was this person’s role in the Witch Trials
were they a member of the accused or did they accuse?
What happened to him or her during the Witch Trials?
What happened to him or her after the Witch Trials?
