LGBT Employee Networks
Establish a powerful ‘reason for being’…think campaign, not champagne!
What are your organisation’s priorities and how can an LGBT group help
achieve them.
Don’t be insular – work with other ERGs (Parenting groups, Faith groups,
Disability groups). Work with D&I / HR on general curriculum inclusion.
Don’t try to boil the ocean – participate in Stonewall’s Equality Index and
focus on year-on-year improvement, mixing ‘easy-wins’ with longer term
‘chipping’.
Know where you can go for help
externally, doesn’t have to cost any
money!
Sign up now to the STEP LGBT Allies Program
See intranet for more details or email [email protected]
The Allies program is open to all and when you sign up you’ll receive these
items to visibly demonstrate your commitment to LGBT equality.
Tent card – for your desk, top of
your computer screen
or bookshelf
Sticker – for your PC/laptop,
meeting notebook or
drawer fronts
Top tips bookmark – for your
meeting
notebook. A handy reminder of
how to be a good ally
