May 2017

Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) has welcomed a total of2,981,088 passengers in 2017, indicating a 3.8% year-to-date (YTD)increase in passenger traffic (PAX) in comparison to the same period in2016, according to statistics released by Airport International Group.

Furthermore, 619,630 passengers travelled through QAIA in May 2017,marking a minor dip of 1.9% in comparison to the same month of lastyear. Airport International Group stated that, throughout May, theAirport recorded 6,268 aircraft movements (ACM), representing a year-on-year rise of 1.0%, while YTD ACM witnessed a marginal decline of1.0%. In addition, 9,185 tons of cargo were handled, exhibiting anincrease of 2.2% against figures from May 2016, which marked a 6.5%drop in YTD cargo traffic.
