Inside the colour of our rock is white and there are some spots of red and orange. It is rough

The volcano that our rock came out of.
• The volcano that our rock came out of was Mt Taupo.
Our rock formed at Mt Ruapehu.
In 1895 MT Ruapehu blow his nose and lava and rocks came out and plumes of gases and ashes came out of the volcano.
Firstly, our rock was very hot magma inside a volcano and when it came out of the volcano it become lava and it cooled down and solidified.
Not all rocks can cool at the same pace. Pumice has holes in it and it is a light rock. It cooled quickly. When you put it in the water it will float.

• If we didn’t pick it up it would have gone to the ocean called Port Waikato.
• As it travels down the river our rock will get hit by other rocks and get small .
