museum without a roof. Not only does the complex

encompass activities such as the luge, sight-seeing gondola

and rotating observatory but also has a large outdoor terrace,

cafe, food court and restaurant.

Ways to fully enjoy the Ganghwa Seaside Resort

Race down Asia’s biggest luge track

The luge is an exhilarating ride that takes riders down a track only

with the help of slopes and gravity on a specially made

nonpowered sled. Users can control the direction and brakes of

the ride, and the ride can be enjoyed by both children and adults.

The Ganghwa Seaside Resort luge track boasts of its two lines at a

total distance of 1.8 km—the largest in scale in Asia.

Ride the sight-seeing gondola similar to that in

Switzerland

Conveniently take the Ganghwa sight-seeing gondola lift to the

resort’s rotating observatory located 700 m away. As a 8-person

lift of the ‘BMF Group’ with its headquarters in Switzerland, the

gondola can carry up to 2,400 people at once. The cabin was

designed by the German Porsche Design Studio.

Enjoy a feast at the rotating observatory restaurant

The rotating observatory at the top of the resort features a unique

design similar to that of a flying saucer or spacecraft. The

observatory makes one rotation every hour to present a view of the

three sides of the ocean. Visitors can enjoy a leisurely meal at the

restaurant while enjoying the view changing hourly.
