Spain is bordered by two countries: in the North, France, and West, Portugal.

It consists of 50 provinces and 2 autonomous cities (Ceuta and Melilla).

The capital is Madrid.

The form of government is a parliamentary monarchy (King: Juan Carlos I, President: José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero).

Our currency is the euro and our official language is Spanish.

Tomelloso is a town located in the center of Spain, in the Northeast of Ciudad Real.

It has 38.095 (2009) inhabitants and an area of 241,83 km².

It is the second most important city in the province.

The most important sectors are the agriculture, industry and services.

Fairs and Festivals

San AntónCelebrated on January 17 in honor of

the animals. The citizens meet around the fires for an evening of fellowship and enjoy typical products of the city such as: sausages, bacon, etc.

Romeria of the Virgin of the VineyardsThe last Sunday of April, Pilgrimage

in honor of the Patroness of Tomelloso, Virgen de las Viñas, in Pinilla.

The festival is of recent origin when in the 40s Tomelloso decided to invoke the patronage of La Virgen de las Viñas.
