Fairs and Festivals

San AntónCelebrated on January 17 in honor of

the animals. The citizens meet around the fires for an evening of fellowship and enjoy typical products of the city such as: sausages, bacon, etc.

Romeria of the Virgin of the VineyardsThe last Sunday of April, Pilgrimage

in honor of the Patroness of Tomelloso, Virgen de las Viñas, in Pinilla.

The festival is of recent origin when in the 40s Tomelloso decided to invoke the patronage of La Virgen de las Viñas.

Ruidera Lakes (they are 17 lakes that form a natural park in Ruidera. Some students of the IES Alto Guadiana come from Ruidera every morning).

Montesinos Cave, also in Ruidera. In the famous book of Cervantes' Don Quixote de La Mancha “, it is mentioned several times.

Medrano Cave, in Argamasilla de Alba (10 kilometres from Tomelloso). No one knows for sure but there is speculation that Cervantes was imprisoned there.
