The Foundation for International Taxation is a registered charitable trust in India established to promote the knowledge and understanding of international taxation. It was set up in January 2006 by Professor Roy Rohatgi along with a group of leading tax professionals in the country. As from 2006, the well - known annual International Taxation Conference in Mumbai started in 1995, is run by the Foundation.
Besides this conference, the Foundation for International Taxation plans to promote the knowledge and study of international and comparative tax laws through research, training, publications and allied activities dealing with international tax issues.

A glimpse into
Our 24th Annual Conference in 2019 continues from our 2018 conference with refinement of BEPS recommendations, follow-up on its global
implementation and resolution of MLI - Action 15. Our keynote topic remains Multilateral instrument
under BEPS in action and its future plans.
As in previous years, we now have the confirmation from Pascal Saint Amans, Director - OECD, Paris - to be our keynote speaker at our 2019
conference. He and his colleagues will brief us on the latest developments on their ongoing BEPS Project. By 2019 end, he expects it
would have advanced its work on BEPS Issues and its Implementation beyond taxing digital activities to other issues under BEPS. However, as of
now, Digital Economy or Business and its taxation still remains under BEPS Action One a controversial global issue. The final recommendation under BEPS Project is deferred to mid - 2020. Many of our global expert
speakers from last year will give their views on recent changes implemented in US tax systems as well as other
international tax jurisdictions.
