To obtain this site I used the search term. “Hedge fund” and “SEC”. These two things automatically brought me to a relevant site I can use for my paper as evidence of the discrepencies potential users of private equity firms may find.

I used to no limiters or options applied to searches. I knew that the SEC commonly publishes news and updates about the current happenings of all things finance. Coupling their title with something related to my paper was bound to bring up something relevant.

My understanding and concept of the information provided by this website is good. I understand the role of the is government entity, which is “…to protect investors, maintain fair, orderly, and efficient markets, and facilitate capital formation.”

For my paper I will be discussing the potential problems relating to this field of finance. And the SEC publishes quarterly, many situations where this field is having trouble and keeps the public updated on what to look out for with the pitfalls of private equity.
