Anopheles Proteus:The Much better Slide.

In my own opinion the Anopheles Proteus photo that I found on yahoo is more detailed than the photograph that we took through the microscopes and better than the drawings we all drew of the Anopheles Proteus.

-The reason I say this is because the photograph that is posted on yahoo is much more detailed my showing all the little details within the cell. -On the next slide we will show you the reasons why the photo is much better than any other we found or have drawn.

This was the photograph found on the internet that shows much more detail than the picture we took through the microscope and the drawing we had.

Drawing: Picture:-This image above is a fantastic drawing of Mel that he drew. He thought it looked like a dead person. Getting back to the subject, the drawing was not as detailed as the picture to the right and that’s why the group said that the picture would be a much better example of the Anopheles Proteus. The only good part is that the drawing is magnified (drawn bigger) to see it better.

Vs.

-This photograph is a picture taken through the lens of the microscope. I shows you the specimen itself with its true color and size it must be. The Anopheles Proteus is the pink colored specimen that is being pointed at. All the little black dots surrounding the Anopheles Proteus is still unidentified.

Vs.

-If compared to the online picture, our drawing that we used as an example wouldn’t really give no help to anyone. The only reason Mel’s drawing is drawn differently is because the specimen must have a different forms like any other specimen would.

-The online picture above shows a much more clear image of the Anopheles Proteus. It shows it more in depth than any of the ones we drew. The magnification in this is much stronger than the drawing because of hat you can see within the specimen.

Online Picture:Picture:

-This image above, as you may know already, is the photograph of the Anopheles Proteus. In our eyes we thought this wasn’t a better image we could see to look at the specimen closer than the image on the right. Even though the image is magnified as much as it could on this type of microscope it still doesn’t win over our way of seeing this.

-The image above is a image we have found of the Anopheles Proteus in yahoo. It shows a much closer view of the specimen. We are not just saying that because I stretched the image out because I also stretched the image in the left had side. So either way the online picture is magnified much better.

Questions:What did you learn

about microscopes?

-We learned that there are many types of microscopes, the most common and first to be invented is the optical microscope which uses light to image the sample. Other major types of microscopes are the electron microscope(both the transmission electron microscope and the scanning electron microscope) and the various types of scanning probe microscope.

What other extra information did you gain about this lab? -One thing we learned as a group that we didn’t know before is that Microscopic means invisible to the eye unless aided by a microscope. We also did not kn0w that the first microscope to be developed was the optical microscope, although the original inventor is not easy to identify. We found this out because we were wondering who had the thought of creating such an instrument for science and would help solve many things in today's society.

How could this lab have been made better?-This PowerPoint we made could have been better because we had many minds that could of put more effort than others. Another reason would be the days we would see each other to complete this task. We only saw eachother half a day in the weekend but it still wasn’t enough because we were trying to go in depth with this project but didn’t meet out own groups limits because we all know we are not ignorant. That is all we have to say.
