Choose the Full Feature Editor.

Click the folder icon to import media.

Select import media files, or import an entire folder.

Browse to the location of your video and select open.

Now drag your video into the first video track, and then right click on it.

Select the unlink Video and Audio

option from the right click menu.

Now that the video and audio are unlinked, drag the audio into a different audio track. Since the audio in my sample was music, I dropped it into the music track, but you could drop it into the 2nd

audio track.

Now let’s import a sound clip into our project. Select the folder icon again to import a media file.

Locate and select your audio clip and click open.

To add your audio file precisely where you want it. Right click on the timeline and add a timeline marker. This will allow media files to snap directly to the marker.

The blue arrow is the timeline marker. This marker can be set anywhere you right click in the timeline to easily snap audio and video files to the marker.

Now drag your audio clip to the marker line on the audio track 1 to snap it exactly at the specified marker.

In the Title room select the default title.

Drag the Default Title to the Title track.

Now right click on the title to edit its properties.

In the title designer, select the box to edit the title text.

Be sure to change the font color as well as the font itself.

Select the apply border option.

Now that borders have been enable you can change the border color by choosing either the uniform color in the border settings or the border option in the title font options box. We will use white to outline our black font in this example, so that it will be easy to read on any background.

Be sure to hit the save button when you are done designing your title.

We have a title now, but it’s a little obtrusive. So let’s have it fade into the video from black, but first we need to move our media clips over. Select them by drag selecting the three objects.

Now move the three track objects just a little to the right. I opted to move them over about half my title length. You could also use a marker in the timeline to snap the objects to a pre-specified time

in the timeline.

Now to add a fade transition, we will need to drag our title track onto our video track.

Choose the Crossfade option from the popup menu.

We have a nice title fade now, but it’s a bit too long. So right click on the title and from the right click menu choose set duration.

The default duration is set to 10 seconds, but in this

example, we will set it to 3 seconds.

Our final result is a easily readable title that is displayed on black which fades into the video. We have also moved our original audio track into the music track and added a second audio FX track. All

that’s left to do is render our project. Be sure to save your project first though.

Select the Produce button.

Select MPEG-4 and select the appropriate profile. If your source videos is standard definition then select the MPEG-4 640x480/30 fps (6Mbps). If your video sources are HD then choose the MPEG-4 1920x1080/30 fps (16Mbs) option.

Now Press Start to render your video.

Be sure you know where your producing your file to. If need be, click the three horizontal dots to save to a different location, such as your U:\ drive or a flash drive.
