We want to communicate that we obtained the habilitation of our new facilities for Powder and Oral Solutions production. This is in addition to the already obtained for Injectable Products.These plants have gone through all the certi�cation processes required by the authority fully complying with GMP standard. In this way we can continue delivering trust and con�dence through products manufactured under the highest quality standards.We currently have 2 plants for water treatment WP (Puri�ed Water), one for the powder products and one for the oral liquid products, so as to meet the particular requirements of each type of product. Also, we count with one WFI (Water for Injectable) water treatment plant, speci�c for injectable products.Furthermore, all of our plants were designed based on one-way tra�c �ows, taking extreme care of the circulation of raw materials, personnel, �nished products and waste, in order to avoid any possible contamination of the �nal product. This is achieved through entry and exit transfers with locked doors, control temperature and humidity within each processing room, walls, �oors and structures with sanitary �nishes and HVAC system (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) with the highest standards. This does not only protect our products, but also protect the health of our workers.

On September 27th, a meeting together with our distributor in Kazakhstan, Agrimatco, was held in that country directed to veterinarians related with dairy cattle. On this occasion Dr. Gustavo Calderon (Livestock and Equine Manager, Virbac-Centrovet) made 3 talks about Rearing Calves, Bovine Mastitis and Bovine Metritis.
The activity was attended by 15 people, which also participated to a �eld day in the area.

More than 120 people from research centers, universities, pharmaceutical, productive and authorities related to aquaculture enterprises, gathered together at the First Global Conference on Epidemiology in Aquatic Animals (AquaEpi-I) held in Oslo, Norway, between the 20th and September 22, organized by the International Society of Aquatic Animal Epidemiology (ISAAE).
Among the presentations the use of epidemiological tools in salmon farming was highlighted, where research in e�ectiveness of disinfectants against SRS, dissemination and distribution of the pathogen in centers and culture neighborhoods, development of predictive tools for colonization and medication against sea lice, among others.
Virbac-Centrovet, through Dr. Jaime Tobar, manager of biological R & D, presented a study in conjunction with the R & D group from Cermaq Chile (led by Dr. Julio Mendoza), Dr . Andrés Pérez of the University of Minnesota, and the group of Dr. Fernando Mardones (UNAB). This study, a pioneer in the dissemination of work between academia and productive and pharmaceutical companies, demonstrated under production conditions, the advantages of using oral SRS boosters in improving the production indicators of Cermaq Chile after 2 years of

income of Atlantic salmon, providing evidence that supports the use of oral boosters to obtain quanti�able bene�ts to both scienti�c and commercial level in reducing mortality and the appearance of the �rst outbreak of SRS, with the consequent reduction of medication events.

Between 19 and 22 October this year, the ninth version of the main aquaculture fair in the Southern Hemisphere, AQUASUR 2016 was performed.This fair is held every two years in the city of Puerto Montt, bringing together all stakeholders in the aquaculture sector.Virbac-Centrovet was present with its customers, showing the wide range of products including, antibiotics, anesthetics, parasiticides and of course the wide range of Blueguard® vaccines, including oral, injectable and immersion.

As part of the activities developed by Virbac-Centrovet during Aquasur 2016, several private seminars were held for Yadran, Humboltd and Australis Mar companies.This seminar addressed the following topics:• Improved Inactivated Vaccine: a matter of immunogenicity and safety.• Pharmacokinetic Studies and Determination of Dose for antibiotics.• Evaluation in �eld of Blueguard® Vaccination Strategies: Medicated e�ciency and reduction.

SOLUBLE MEDICATION INSWINE PRODUCTION
The administration of antibiotics, enzymes, analgesics, vitamins, vaccines or other assets using the drinking water as a vehicle, is an important alternative for delivering therapeutic or preventive treatments massively without causing stress in animals and obtaining high e�ectiveness and e�ciency.
Before making a soluble medication in pig farms, it should take into account aspects such as:Characterization of the animals drinking water: it is very important to know the level of hardness that has the water on the farm, as well as its pH and state of chlorination, as these characteristics have a direct e�ect on the solubility of some active ingredients.Facilities: It is vital to check the water network system that owns the farm. Knowing its operation, the pressure of �owing water as well as its integrity and maintenance, become relevant at the time of soluble therapies.Doser: The administration of soluble therapies should consider their preparation for daily intake, ideally within the �rst 12 hours after they are prepared. To do this, it becomes relevant to de�ne the implementation of dosing as Dosatron, to include the drug to the water network.Water consumption in pigs: Determination of water consumption in animals, will de�ne the volume of water which must be administered soluble therapies. The ranges of water consumption in pigs vary according to their body weight and productive stage (Table 1).

The main advantages of the soluble medication in pig production are related to the following aspects:
Economic: Water, is a low-cost vehicle to administer treatments with antibiotics, vitamins, vaccines, among others.
No stress: Soluble treatments do not cause stress in animals when administered.
Control during medication: Allows greater control of mg/kg of live pig, used for mass treatment. This medication is daily preparation.
Easy: Preparation of soluble medication is characterized by beeing easy of administering and requires no more sta� for this activity.
E�ective and E�cient: The soluble therapies allow delivering e�cient treatments to a high number of pigs in a short period of time. Its use is generally related to treatment during the early stages of disease.
Equipment maintenance: Maintenance of equipment needed to administer soluble therapies low cost.
Antibiotic residues: Soluble medication can minimize and control the risk of antibiotic residues in slaughter animals.
Flexibility: The daily preparation of soluble therapies, allows treatments in animals in a �exible and convenient way.
Some recomendation for soluble medication• In hot weather water consumption increase and swine waste more water trying to get fresh water. It is important to keep in good condition the drinking fountains.
• It should calculate the dose of the drug to be administered according to the total weight to be treated.
• It is recommended to administer medication in cooler times, for example in the early morning, especially in times of high temperatures.
• Some ingredients are di�cult to dissolve primarily in hard or cold water; to make it easier is recommendable to perform pre-dilution in warm water.
• It is always important to read the product label before using.

On October 4th Anthony Pearson, global technical consultant in biosecurity and hygiene from Lanxess Material Protection Products, visited Chile and presented a talk entitled "Advanced Biosafety: how to control the spread of disease". Anthony has over 27 years of technical and practical experience in biosafety for the veterinary industry. During his presentation he was able to share his expertise in biosafety issues for poultry and pigs farms.

Last October 13th a meeting took place in Agricultural AASA. Dr. Felipe González (Technical Department Virbac-Centrovet) presented a technical talk entitled "Soluble medication in pigs", which was coordinated by Dr. Francisco Córdova (Sales Representative Virbac-Centrovet). The purpose of this talk was to train the sta� in the various aspects involved in the soluble medication.

Animal Welfare Agrícola San Pedro and Agrícola Santa Clara
Under the Program Support in Swine Farms, Virbac-Centrovet conducted a training session on Animal Welfare to operators and heads of areas from de Agricultural San Pedro and Sta. Clara, both belonging to Ricardo Yanine Milad. On the occasion, Dr. Felipe González together with the veterinarian of the company, Dr. Guillermo Alfaro, spoke about practices to ensure responsible management of production animals to prevent su�ering and pain. It also noted the scope of the new regulation that will handle this matter. When the meeting was ended, a certi�cate of participation was given to each member.

On Wednesday October 19th a meeting was held in Agroindustrial Ovo Trading where Dr. Raul Morales (Technical Department Virbac-Centrovet) presented a topic entitled "Biosafety in plant foods." The activity was coordinated by Dr. Francisco Córdova (Sales Representative Virbac-Centrovet). This is the �rst of a series of talks to be held in order to train the sta�.

International Seminar on Equine Production and Reproduction

During the days 20, 21 and 22 October an international seminar in Equine Production and Reproduction was held, in Santiago de Chile. The goal of the seminar was to deliver updates in the area of breeding and equine fertility. For this, the event featured international speakers from the US and Argentina and approximately 150 in participants including students, professionals and national and international horse breeders or owners of our country.
The seminar was divided into two parts, a theoretical part conducted during 20 and 21 October at the Universidad Mayor and a practical part was held on October 22 in BioteQ, Center for Equine Reproductive Medicine, which involved a small group people around two simultaneous topics: "Checking and Correcting Limbs in Foals" and "Advanced Ultrasonography of pregnancy in the mare and Histopathology and Hysteroscopy Diagnostic".

During the days 6, 7 and 8 October the Atacama Veterinary Conference was held in the Hotel Cumbres de San Pedro de Atacama. In this business meeting of the veterinary industry, more than 100 veterinarians attended from all over the country. They could share with important exhibitors: Manfred Brauchle, Marcelo Zysman, Pablo Manzuc and Claudio Gonzalez. The event was organized by Dr. Mariano Tischler, veterinarian at the University Mayor, MBA Management and Health Management, Faculty of Business and Economics, U. Mayor. Director and Founding Partner in Portal Mayor Veterinary Clinic.

2ND LATIN AMERICAN SEMINAR: MEDICINE, ENDOCRINOLOGY AND REPRODUCTIVE BIOTECHNOLOGY IN DOGS AND DOMESTIC CATS

On 21 and 22 October was held in the auditorium of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University Andres Bello, the 2nd version of the Latin American Seminar: Medicine, Endocrinology and Reproductive Biotechnology in dogs and domestic cats, organized by Dr. Alfonso Sanchez. The seminar was attended by more than 30 veterinarians, who shared with exponents of Argentina and Chile. Some of the topics presented were: Gestational and Maternal control and Neonatal and Neonatal Health in housecat, Sex Endocrinopathies in Canines I and II, New concepts of ovarian follicular development in the bitch, Gestational Ultrasonography, Advances in in vitro maturation of canines oocytes (IVM), among others.
This time Virbac-Centrovet highlighted its Speed Range diagnostic kits line, especially Ovulation Test, which is used in detecting the optimal time for arti�cial insemination or crossing, among others.
