My Thoughts
I think Pottawotami is very interesting because, you get to learn about an native American tribe.
Family roles
Pottawotami women did all of the cooking and most of the child care. Pottawotami men were hunters and sometimes went to war to protect their family’s.
Language
Most Pottawotami speak English but some people ecspecialy elders speak their native Pottawotami language. Pottawotami is a musical language that has complicated verbs with many parts.
Food
The Potawatomi Indians were farming people. Potawatomi women planted and harvested corn, beans, squash, and tobacco, as well as gathering wild rice and berries. The men hunted deer, elk, and wild birds and caught fish. The Potawatomi’s also tapped trees for maple syrup as Michigan people do today.
