COMMENT The decrease in traumatic postpartum haemorrhage recorded last year (1962) has not been maintained. Six of these cases followed spontaneous delivery and 3 were easy low forceps deliveries and the cause in each case was vaginal lacerations. It is difficult to account for this increase unless a more stringent estimation of blood loss has been made. The remaining 7 cases of traumatic haemorrhage followed difficult operative deliveries. Two cases required hysterectomy and are fully described under the Letterpress " Hysterectomy associated with Pregnancy ", page 50, and another case of particular interest, No. 60369, is fully described in Letterpress on Caesarean section, page 39. COMMENT
