Postgraduate Diploma holders of XLRI may be eligible for Ph. D programme in the

industrial Management Centre or the Deptt of Humanities & Social Sciences of this Institute. As far as the Regulations of the Institute go to be eligible for administrations to the Ph.D. programme in Industrial Management Centre, a basic, engineering degree is essential. As such, XLRI Diploma holders, who possess basic engineering degree in any branch of engineering and technology, and fulfill other requirements, may be considered for admission to the Ph. D programme on an individual basis. However, for the purpose of award of scholarships, such candidates may have to be treated, initially, as Bachelor’s degree holders in engineering, or technology.

2. Regarding admission to Ph. D Programme in the Department of Humanities & Social Sciences, XLRI Diploma holders may be eligible in the area of Psychology, or Industrial Psychology. But, before this can be decided, it is necessary to examine the admission qualifications for the XLRI Diploma as well as curriculum for the Diploma course offered by the XLRI. If, on examination the Institute is satisfied that the contents of the XLRI Diploma course are equivalent for the purpose of admission to the Ph D programme of the Institute in area of Psychology or Indl. Psychology, admission of Diploma holders of the XLRI for the Ph.D programme of the Institute may be considered.
