Which Treatments Work?

A study from CureTogether. Based on responses of 531 people involved in the informal study.

How could PTSD affect my future?

If I had PTSD, not being able to sleep at night would make me irritable and impatient, and unexplainable outbursts of anger could also be detrimental to my future career. Derealization and depression might take away my motivation to do well in my career and relationships. I might have trouble focusing on my job and my life.

Specifically, I am considering becoming a music teacher, which would require an impressive amount of dedication and patience. PTSD could diminish both of these traits. And, of course, feeling tense and depressed would not be pleasant even without these consequences.
