10/12/2015-15/12/2015Media lessons This stage I started to focus upon audio for our productions work, audio was highly reliant for our groups work as it will give our production a professionalised finish and an authentic look to it, it will also engage audiences into the sequence so that they can engage with the plot well.Audio was highly important however needed to be handled very careful, as primary editor, I needed the audio to go in sync with the shots to give it that realistic look, so timing was very important for me to that everything could go smoothly and according to plan.I also had to think about registered rights and who owns what piece of audio, so in order to show credit to the audio we used, I reverted back to our planning stage to the audio work to find out source free sites that I can use for our sequence and other additional sound tracks where credit needed to be given to.

10/12/2015-15/12/2015Media lessons, Audio Listed are the audio sites that I used for the

completion of our production, Through the Lens. I used these two sites for our sound effects and background tracks, these sites I found on Google and were a great help in allowing me to use for our production to give it a great eerie feel to it.

I listed the copyright terms each site held IF I wanted to use any of the sounds, this will allow me to identify which music site needed credit and how I should present this in the correct way. As well as these two sites I also used Utube to get some suspenseful thriller soundtracks, in all I researched a great deal of audio soundtracks and effects that I feel would go in well with our production, this was rather important as I wanted to ensure that each audio used was perfect and matched with the situation within our production to give it a more realistic feel to it.

After selecting a range of audios from the sites, I than had to make the important decisions of where to put each audio, for this I watched the production back a few times and made notes on which soundtrack and effect I thought would go in well.As a group, Danielle, Abby and myself sat down and discussed audio, here I saved a file entitled SOUNDS of all the audio that I imported over, as a group we listened through each track and discussed upon which track was relevant in each scene, we took extra care nearing the end where significant scenes were held and we wanted to audience to realise its importance, each suggestion was noted down in which I held onto to revert back to for when I begin to place the audio.I started placing in the audio the next day, starting with all the significant scenes, so the ending scenes, and the jumping shift from the breakfast room to the woods, I felt these important as I wanted to get the timings exactly right, and for that I wanted to spend some time on this. Laying and positioning audio was fairly easy, however I had to spend time in listening to each audio individually so that I can asses what bit would match in with the specific scene correctly. Techniques that I regularly had to use was the cutting tool and audio effect where the audio can blend in smoothly without jumping straight in.

10/12/2015-15/12/2015Media lessons As I started to place in the audio, I began at the start, here I had to think independently making decisions on what audio I could put in to make the production a success, I decided on including background ambience that will match in with the breakfast scene, indicating to audiences what time of the day it is, so I thought about including early morning ambience, as well as improving the sound efficacy from the shots and include sound effects such as kettle sounds, and the popping noise the kettle makes to indicate its finished boiling, I felt this went rather well and discussed this with the rest of the group, gaining their support on the decisions towards the audio and seeing if they’re fine with it and also gaining their responses towards it.As I focused more on the audio and effects, the rest of my team, Danielle and Abby began making a start on the titles for our production, both worked well in this department and as a group discussed upon the production of the titles, this being the font and sizes as well as the names in order in recognition of everyone who worked towards the creation of our production. The titles will soon be added once I'm happy with the editing and audio, as soon as this is done our group will import the production over onto Utube ready for audience feedback based on our first draft.

Overall…After evaluating my contribution towards the production in regards to audio, I felt that this went rather well, I enjoyed researching the audio sites and the sound tracks that each site had to offer and how this could possibly fit into our production, as a group we had valued discussions upon the audio and what track could go in with what scene, I felt as a group we discussed it with clear formality and highly regarded each suggestion in a coherent and professional manner. As a group we worked very well, myself and Abby shared the role of audio where Danielle focused upon titles for our production, in response towards my role of audio, I enjoyed doing this, I felt it went hand in hand with my editing role so I grew to love this task role also.I felt whilst working on audio, that I’ve defiantly improved since the prelim, for starters I learnt how to turn each individual sound track and effect down so that it doesn't interfere with the dialogue nor shot, and I also learnt how to successfully place in audio transitions so that each soundtrack can blend into each shot effectively. With audio done, our group can go onto placing in the titles at the start and finish whilst also placing in the finishing touches on our production, ready for our completion for our production to be nearly done.
