Find the perfect gift basket for a spe-cial mom at the Mothers Day Brunch andBaskets fundraiser from 10 a.m to 12noon on Saturday, May 7, at the St. PaulLearning Center. Hosted by the ClinchRiver Valley Initiative, the fundraiser willprovide brunch and a long stem flower foreach ticket holder. Tickets are $5 for eachadult and $1 for each child age 12 andunder.
St. Paul Learning Center is located at3126 Deacon Drive next to St. PaulElementary School.
Tickets may be purchased in advanceor at the door, but anyone who plans toattend is encouraged to let organizersknow so that enough brunch food and bas-kets will be available. Participants will enjoy brunch whilebrowsing through the baskets that will bemarked with actual values. Participantsmay write down the price they wish to payfor the basket or baskets they like the best.Basket winners will be announced at11:45 a.m.
Clinch River Valley Initiative is a col-laboration of agencies, nonprofits, localgovernments and citizens who work on avariety of projects such as water quality,environmental education, tourism, eco-nomic development, river access and adeveloping state park. Upper TennesseeRiver Roundtable is a nonprofit focusedon clean rivers in Southwest Virginia. TheRoundtable coordinates the CRVI waterquality work, which is the focus of theVISTA worker who is organizing thisfundraiser.
