The Rehabilitation & Sports Injury Clinic is an integral part of the Wellness Institute at Seven Oaks Hospital, providing a wide array of services to support your recovery from: sprains and strains; acute musculoskeletal injuries; tendonitis; repetitive motion injury; neck or back pain; whiplash, motor vehicle and workplace injuries; TMJ; and post-surgical conditions.

The roomy 8,000 sq ft Clinic provides more than an open and bright space for your treatments. It is well equipped with leading-edge exercise and therapeutic equipment and a multi-disciplinary team of rehabilitation professionals. The booking policy allows quality time for assessments and treatments, ensuring your appointment gives you time to address your concerns without feeling rushed.
A recent client survey shows very high satisfaction with both the overall service and treatment received (see pie charts). In fact, 100% of clients surveyed said they would return to the clinic if they need future treatments.
Services for Your CareThe Rehabilitation & Sports Injury Clinic offers services for individuals, workplaces, and insurance providers, including:
Chiropractic Care, Athletic Therapy, Physiotherapy, acupuncture, custom orthotics, active release technologies, Nutrition Counselling and Psychology.
Massage Therapy is also offered in private treatment rooms within the facility, offering massage techniques which include sport, relaxation, deep tissue, reflexology and lymphatic drainage.
Your first visit to the Clinic always includes an assessment of your condition as well as your first treatment so you can start your recovery right away. In providing care, our team focuses on evidence-based practice and the appropriate course of treatment needed by you to recover. They have knowledge and skills to help you reach goals such as reducing or managing pain; improving strength or flexibility;
returning to work; or getting back to sports or other activities you enjoy.
For your chronic injuries, our approach focuses on progressing from a return to simple activities to more complex and demanding activities, functions and movements.
Anyone in the community can come to the Clinic for treatment. No referrals are needed and most health care plans provide coverage for your care. If you are not sure which service offers the best support for your needs, our Clinic desk staff will be happy to help.
If needed, our team may offer referrals to a range of on site wellness services and programs to help you make changes to improve your health or fitness.
Rehabilitation & Sports Injury Clinic hours are Monday to Thursday, from 7:30am to 7:00pm and Fridays from 7:30am to 4:00pm. The Clinic direct bills Blue Cross, MPI and WCB for services excluding massage. Private payments are also welcome.

The unique benefits of a Clinic within the Wellness Institute and Seven Oaks Hospital:
On-site Babysitting. Our clients may use Kids Corner babysitting while getting care on weekday mornings or evenings.
Medical Fitness Advantage. Our therapists have access to a premium medical fitness facility complete with state-of-the-art equipment, an accessible warm therapy pool and wellness experts.
Hospital Support. Should an emergency occur, hospital staff respond to the Clinic as they would in the hospital. If you arrive with an injury that needs medical attention, you can get care on site.
Workplace Injury Management. The Work Injury Management Team shares clinic space and offers comprehensive reconditioning and other workplace wellness services.

What is medical fitness?Several factors set medical fitness facilities, including Wellness Institute, apart from other gyms or health clubs:
• active, regular medical oversight;
• qualified and credentialed staff;
• programs for disease management, prevention and lifestyle change;
• individual health screening with exercise prescription;
• safety policies and ability to respond to emergencies and
• a focus on community health.
You can see the difference at work through the many programs we offer, free community health events and accessibility features in the facility. All our Wellness Consultants hold degrees in fitness-related fields to ensure support on the floor, while certified staff provide added expertise through wellness services and health related programs.
I’m not sick. Why would I need medical fitness?Everyone can benefit from a focus on healthy lifestyle change and reducing your personal risk of disease, even if your main focus today is on personal fitness goals.
You’ll start your Wellness membership with a personal assessment to identify potential health risks and current fitness level, followed by an exercise recommendation. You’ll then have access to a premium facility with continually updated equipment and over 100 weekly member classes.
All ability levels, from those new to exercise to athletes, can select from our many experts and fitness options.
If your goals include weight loss, dietary changes or more exercise support, we have the expert staff to help you make lifestyle changes. And if you ever are injured at work or at play, you can get care through our Rehabilitation & Sports Injury Clinic.
