Wendy Hall has over 6 years experience as a Dementia Educator with Alzheimer’s Australia SA. She has a Bachelor of Applied Sc. (Nursing) and Diploma of Applied Sc. (Ambulance Studies).

Her current role is in the provision of skills training and dementia awareness through education and information sessions to organisations, businesses and various public forums.

Anyone working in the health, community or aged care sectors who interact with people living with dementia.

Learning Objectives:

• Understand the nature of dementia and the impact

• Understanding communication from the dementia perspective and the practice of person-centred care

• Recognise behaviour as communication of an unmet need

• Experience of changed behaviours and how to make a difference
