Our hospital is home to the Wessex Renal and Transplant Unit and holds presti gious Cancer Beacon Status for our Head and Neck Cancer Services.
We host the largest Ministry of Defence Hospital Unit (MDHU) in England.
The Trust is a major provider of both under-graduate and post-graduate educati on, working with three universiti es in our area.
Our maternity department is the busiest on the South Coast, delivering over 6,000 babies per year.

Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust is one of the largest acute hospital trusts in the country. We provide a full range of services to more than 650,000 people across Portsmouth, South East Hampshire and West Sussex. Whilst most services are provided at Queen Alexandra Hospital, we also off er a range of outpati ent and diagnosti c faciliti es within local communiti es which are closer to pati ent homes.
The charity supports all of the wards and departments throughout the Trust and you can choose to support a parti cular area of the hospital that is close to your heart.
