Systemic Design Turin’s Jail
The project was developed according to five main
guidelines representing a new economic model with
local benefits.
The four important and financially solutions were
1-The production of candles, soap, cultivation of
mushrooms and drying of starch to be sold as a
raw-material for the cosmetic industry. 2-Improved
value to was initially considered waste. 3-The new
inputs provide a new economic for the prison. And 4-A
better quality food for the consumers.
As a collaboration between Politecnico di Torino and the Casa Circondariale Lusso
Cutugno, this project was developed within the research methodology of the
Systemic Design approach aiming to satisfy the prison’s main needs regarding one
of its internal projects: a catering service.

The Amazon kitchen was a project in which it was analyzed the Amazon culture,
situated in South America, starting from the people, activities, believes, and finally
arriving to the food, their principal dishes, local ingredients and the places they
cook.
Depending on the dishes, people cook outside and inside the house. Most of the time
they cook for a big family, and the women spent half of a day in this activity. This is
why it is important for this culture to have a place to cook, a kitchen according to
them, which was develop in this project.

Anteprima CicloCaffe - RiCicla la tua energia!
An urban activism group called SePuede created Ciclocaffé.
This initiative came from the idea of using the energy that a
person can generate in the daily activities, for the own
needs, such as cycling. It was presented at Turin, Italy, in an
activity called Park(ing) Day, at the event Cineambiente
(June 2010).
There were made fourth videos that explain the initiative and
show the participation at the event.

COLLABORATIVE
Collaborative Precycle is the connection
that exists between collaborative
consumption and Precycle. Precycle is
the attitude that the consumer is taken
on the collaborative consumption,
decreasing the production, giving value
to the access over ownership, to the
collaborative lifestyles, enabling tech-
nologies, and the reputation of capital.
To spread this idea, and the collaborative
lifestyle, it was made a web page, where
you can look for the different activities
that can be done, and where to find what-
ever you want, such as help doing some-
thing and some products. It is a mash up,
a compilation of all sites that are
contributing with the Collaborative
Precycle.

This graphic project has the purpose to
explain how was interpreted the phrase
from Samuel Butler, using different
programs to model and rendering, such
as Blender as the principal, Autodesk
3D max, Solid Work and Make Human.
The kid in the graphic is sad although he
has everything he wanted, but knows
wants more that what he had. In the
other side the dog, that represents the
animals, is happy with just a single ball,
expressing the simplicity of life.
