multimedia libraryDesign Proposition for a Multimedia Library in the centre of the city of Volos
volos, greece
The traditional idea of the corridor inside a library remains, but is be-ing ameliorated by becoming the building itself, including the public spac-es (amphitheatre, guest rooms, classrooms, cafes, restaurants, net-work places) and eventually the lounge-studying space of the building. The spaces are not strictly determined as indoor and outdoor, but they can be transformed according to the position of the movable indoor walls. The spaces are united with a continuous corridor and an inclined core of elevation and stairs.
ARCHITECTURE

Seven concrete “waves” are surrounding the Music Hall of the city of Thessaloniki. With an altered height from -3.00m. up to +6.00m., they are a mild urban intervention that provides unhindered vistas to the sea and hosts a series of indoor, outdoor or semi-outdoor urban utilities: maritime museum, aquarium, museum of music, café, restaurant, nautical club, public gym, parking spaces, concert hall, pools with sea water, parks, walking paths, resting areas.

center of visitorsDesign of a Consultancy Centre at the Top of a Hill, near to the Coast of Almeria
playa de los muertos, almeria, spain
Four cones that dig horizontally into the volume of the hill constitute the center of visitors. They are pointing towards the four different vistas the location has to offer: the access road, the sandy beach named “playa de los muertos”, the sea, and the surrounding mountains. Each one is dedicated to one use: working space, exhibition, assembly hall and relaxation space. The fifth one, which contains the main entrance, stairs and elevator, is being placed vertically and by that offers space union and natural light to the entirety of the building.

bioclimatic libraryBioclimatic Analysis of the Terrain, Materials’ Proposition and Architectural Design
madrid, spain
This library, in order to be viable all year round in a continental climate like Madrid’s, is equipped with several passive bio-climatic systems: south orientation of exposed surfaces, division into 3 sections –lower with indirect lighting needs, upper with light isolation needs, central for space supervision and lighting-, double ceilings, horizontal windows, thermal cushion, system or indoors’ air ventilation. In addition with the pierced wall situated in the northern part of the terrain and the surrounding courtyard it eliminated the need of heating and cooling systems.

diploma projectObject design and information management for lifelong spatial reconfiguration in buildings
volos, greece
The chosen case study building is that of an old warehouse of the American Tobacco Company. It has been analyzed using the principals of Building Information Modeling (BIM).The system created from this analysis meets the needs of employees and visitors on a personal level (eg thermal com-fort, ergonomics, etc.) and is simultaneously an architectural solution capable to be applied to any existing building. This design attempt derived from users needs, their number and actions on every moment of buildings lifecycle results to substantial savings of space and energy and has interesting social implications due to the innovative solution that proposes.

waldorf school and social centerArchitectural Design Contest
tartu, estonia
The underlying concept of the design explores the idea of continuity. The form of the design links three distinct pro-grammatic elements: a social center, school and kinder-garten. The continuous strip form bends around the site enclosing a central courtyard. This protected space acts as a link for all the areas, it is the focus of school, as each part of the building relates back to this. It also provides the chil-dren with a safe external environment.
