The beautiful organized of withered branches

PART 1

Year:November 2011Duration:5 weeks

November has been already in the winter . The bare branches made me feel a hint of loneliness. But I still could see the blue sky and bright sunshine through the trees, and at that moment I thought the branches is also beautiful even without any leaves.

T h e i m p o r t a n t p l a c e i s a g r o v e w h i c h s i tua ted in f ront of my s tudio . I a lways select the materials from this grove for my several artworks. I oftentimes search for a lot of different kinds of branches which are combined together.

I arranged frames for each group of branches to make them became a piece of Chinese ink painting. This picture can manifest the lonely winter just by using simple drawing.

When this was disposed at the exhibition, I added a few candles at the back of the lamp in order to highlight the prospect. The branches were so vivid that they stretched themselves under the light. The yellow background made the whole picture quite warm, which could drive away the coldness.

PART 2

What I should mention is the journey of Dunhuang, located in the northwest of China. I had been attracted my eyes by an extraordinary phenomenon in the local stores. Because of decreased air pressure, most packing bags of snacks present in an expanded condition. Those look like balloons about to burst. This phenomenon is rare in the south part of China. At that moment, those packing bags aroused my thinking of design creation.

Let me think of the expansion of the fruit

In Chinese rec ipes , g inger often is used as a seasoning in foods. It contains a spicy and aromatic ingredient, thus the taste is very spicy. However, ginger actually has positive effects such as stop vomiting and cough and other effects of TCM.In winter, I usually make a cup of ginger tea to fend off the cold.I have a mixed feeling about ginger, either love or hate it.And the reason why I choice ginger for works was it tasted so spicy that I could not hold it, and I was about to explode in the same t ime . I wou ld like to take this sculpture to express my feelings.

I overstated the original texture of ginger and widen the difference between light and shade in order to enrich the whole sculpture.

FIBERCHAIN

To be a pretty girl is a dream that every girl has. In order to keep the skin moisture, I often make mask twice a week. When the mask tights my face, I feel bound to live. But as for the swimsuit, that was some of the latter feels more intense.

I l ike swimming, but I disl ike the feel w h e n I j u m p u p f r o m t h e p o o l . T h e swimsui t c lung to me t igh t ly . At tha t moment, the swimsuit was too heavy to make me breathless.

The inspiration for the fiber work came from the feeling of suffocation.

Process for making

The softer texture silk was characterised as easily shaping. As for adhesive, Crystal AB glue, which could harden stereotypes after dry, was the best choice.

P r i o r t o p r o d u c t i o n , I u s e d a wa te r bo t t l e to do an p re -experiment which showed that cloth firmly poisoned the bottle. I t i l lus t ra ted the s imilar feel a f t e r s w i m m i n g . I w a s v e r y satisfied with this result.

I l ike t rave l l ing and tak ing pho tos about landscapes, I think those are the breathtaking scenery God's masterpiece. Having a lot of photos, I always felt that only the views left in the photo can no longer move me, I want to be able to integrate them into my work . So my current work pieces are created.

The works I use glaze changing characteristics , trying to reflect the true color of nature in the works .

Lotus pond is one of my favorite scenery in summer; green lotus leaves always bring me coolness. I like the curl lotus l e a f e d g e s , w h i c h i s a p a r t i c u l a r l y casual and beautiful style. So I applied/implemented this element to my work.

This group of porcelain I used the " lotus leaf green ," the glaze , combine images using soft flounced on the edge of porcelain , and the other made a round bottom , on the whole , entire porcelain is a landscape painting , blue sky, green water , Castle have been presented on the inside.

Inspiration

The "green branches" of the glaze was applied into this group of porcelain.Using casting porcelain moldings way mean that I did not change its original type too much so as to present their most natural form. Each one of them had its own beauty, like the plants in the nature and each stars in the sky.

In this group of works, I extracted the land cracked porce la in su r face t ex tu re a s a ma te r i a l , when I deliberately left a half glazed not encountered glaze is no glaze want to express on behalf of a local grass, and barren land is relatively a . Such firing out the effect of rendering this one is also easier texture .

I attended the exhibition for ceramics in school and put them on the wall, you will see it when you walk into the showroom.

I used the broken ceramic to express the scenery of pre-formation, and put the ceramic which in bright color on the middle of the wall to express the mature landscape and then, the porcelain with crackle on right is express the nature has been destroyed by human.
