    Objectives:Create a new logo to t a company or personal image. Do not imitate existing logos or use previousdesigns. Dont use photos or live trace.

    Process:e logo was designed in Adobe Illustrator using a 3D grid tool to create the window. I kept the

    background white so I could create white lines to make the panes blend with the background. I usedthe shape tool or the sun by creating a yellow star. I then used the direct select tool to pull the rays othe sun out urther rom the window. I did this to convey the message that we will make your homebrighter by helping the sun to shine in through peoples windows more. I used tex t boxes to put myname and in ormation in.

    Objectives:Use the new logo to design consistent layouts or a business card and letterhead. Photos are okay onbusiness card and letterhead as additional design elements. Letterhead should be 8.5 x 11, ull-bleedoptional, but trim only .125. Business card should be 3.5 x 2 and printed above center on a vertical page.

    Process:I used InDesign to place my logo and business card into the letter head. en I used the opacitymeasure to lighten a larger copy o my logo to create the watermark in the background. I used a textboxto put my in ormation in the upper right corner. I used the rulers rom InDesign to keep things evenbetween my upper right logo and my contact in o in the upper lef. I used .5 margins or this project tokeep things rom being cut off o the paper.

    Objectives:Learn to blend two or more images together gradually, using masks.Demonstrate more advanced Photoshop skills or layout with multiple elements.Use a mask to apply a lter to one part o the image.Apply typography principles (titles, quotes, events or scripturesyour choice).

    Process:

    is design was done in Photoshop. I used a masking tool in the program to blend in the smallerimages o Akiane and her paintings with a lter that allows the painting o the baby to stand out themost. I thought o the message I wanted to get across rst, and then I looked or paintings that wouldhelp to t the image rom Akianes gallery because her work and character are so tting o someone whois a believer who sees God in the details. I arranged the images in a way that would lead to the lef andmade the typography have the same colors as the babys ace.

    Objectives:Create three completely different, original logos to t a company or personal image that will appeal tothe audience. Do not imitate existing logos or use previous designs.Use only the Illustrator tools to create and draw your logos. (No Illustrator pre- abricated ares,symbols, etc.. No photos or live-tracing. You may use an image or drawing as a guide to trace it with thepen/pencil, but delete the image be ore submitting.)Gather opinions rom at least ten people about which logo appeals most to them.

    Process:I used Adobe Illustrator to create these logos . I used the pen tool to trace over a ying yang sign butcouldnt gure out how to ll hal the ying yang with black so I had to paint it all in by hand. en Illed the 1 with white and used the arrange option to bring it to the ront o the image to be on topo the black. I also traced the hand on the bottom logo using the pen tool and also used the pencil toolto draw the inside lines that dened the hand. I used the shape creator to make the triangle or themiddle logo.

    Objectives:Set up and align a two-sided, olded document.Create an original company logo and use it in a brochure.Incorporate quality images. (Incorporate at least our quality images (Not including the logo). Oneshould be clipped in Photoshop and text-wrapped in InDesign so the text ollows the cutout shape othe image.

    Process:I used Photoshop to size and crop the photos, that I then brought into In Design. Also in Photoshop,I used the lasso tool to cut out a house rom the background o one o my images be ore bringing itin to the In Design brouchure. In In Design I used paragraph styling templates that helped to keepthings uni orm. I used a text wrap as well to interact the images with the text. In print settings I set thedocument up to be double sided.

    Objectives:Choose a color scheme, take a photo to match those colors, then incorporate the colors into the layout.Use a digital camera to take a quality image, then download it.Adjust image levels, saturation, color balance, sharpen tool on separate layers or NDE (non-destructiveediting.)Size and crop the image, then place on an 8.511 page layout.Use layers to design text, and repeating graphic elements in Photoshop.Print with ull-bleed margins. Trim only 1/8 (0.125) rom all our sides.

    Process:I used a Cannon camera to take this photo in the Ricks Gardens at a time when there was good light.I chose to use the green and purple o the bushes behind the statue or my color scheme and use the vibrance, saturation and color controls in photoshop to make the statue a golden color close to orange,so that I could use a secondary color scheme with purple, green and orange. I attened all the levels Icreated in photoshop and then made the image larger to t on a 8 1/2 X 11 with 150 ppi.

    Process:I used Adobe Illustrator to create the logo, and then cropped it and saved it as a png le. I downloadedand used Notepad++ to write in code to se t this page up and to put in my image png le. I changed thebackground color to yellow and the background o the text to white.     Process:I used Microsof Word in publisher view or this project. I rst used Adobe Photoshop to scan andsized the image to be 150 ppi. en I brought the image into Microsof Word and sized it again inthere. I used the shapes to make text boxes and a triangle shape to create white space in the bottom lefthat helped to keep a diagonal ow. I checked the color schemes in the FLOW text book to see whatcolors would go with the blue and red I chose.

    Objectives:Apply the design principles and use appropriate typography.Incorporate basic InDesign skills to improve basic ier layout.Retrieve image and logo rom links on this page.Create a project older with image, logo and InDesign document to keep links in InDesign intact.

    Process:I began this Flier by rst choosing which picture to use rom a selection o pictures provided or thisproject. en I sketched our different design possible layouts or the ier be ore I started to create iton the computer. Afer being able to see rom my sketches that the picture Id chosen didnt seem towork as well with the messages that needed to go in the ier, so I chose another picture that had betterow to it. I en used In-Design to put the images together and align them with the alignment guidesthe program provides. I used a Franklin Gothic type ace or the body copy and Century type ace orthe title to create some contrast. At the end, I did some rearranging to make sure the the objects in thepicture went well together.
