As I look back through the old pieces, pencil works, and other high school
and college ideas, I somehow recognize a thin thread running from what
I once considered ugly and formless, to what today I might perceive more
personally satisfying.
Throughout the thread, I highlight three moments of my artistic output.

I started looking for the form, it was an errant stage, a wandering
and rambling moment of not knowing and exploring.

I felt I had an uncarved glyphic language inside, so I
seized every opportunity to decipher whatever it was.

Abstraction was too ambitious for me, I
began looking for a line.

Beyond form and expression, I believe there is communication;
emotional work of art can be sometimes misunderstood and
pretentious. Graphic design, for sure, simplifies interpretation, it
works with the sign, with text. Studying it helped me appreciate
the meaning of visual synthesis. Looking for the sign was my
second moment.

Drawing gives me the simple pleasure of drawing itself. Graphic design helps me
to systematically relate image and text. But true unification of both dimensions, I
believe, manifests itself smoothly on illustration. With the word and the image
experience, I am now thoroughly seeking for voice and meaning.
