ABOUT ME
I am a student, studying a BA HONS Graphic Design at Blackpool & the Fylde College.
I Moved from Huddersfield to Blackpool to study this course. Throughout my life i’ve always been enthuastic and passionate about design. I am ambitious and enthusiastic in everything i do. I’m always looking for inspiration where ever i go and keep learning new skills and trying out new media. I produce the best possible outcome i can to every project and design i do.

3D TYPOGRAPHIC ARCHITECTURE-Produce a 3D piece of work based on a typographic characteristic.
SOLUTION-The typographic characteristic I chose was loop. I decided to create a net of loops and fold them together.

DIGITAL DESIGN- Produce a different outcome to the ‘Lloyds TSB’ brief.
SOLUTION- I re-designed the original, using different techniques from what I’d learnt in Illustrator.

TYPOGRAPHIC PRINT BOOK- Create a book dedicated to type,using different techniques of printing.
SOLUTION- I created the book using different typesof paper and different print techniques.Then combined the two using cottonto bound the book

VISUAL COMMUNICATION-The assignment was to use typography tore-create the features of a face
SOLUTION- The difficult task was finding the rightcharacter to match the right bit, oncei had managed that it was simply re-tuning and matching it up better.

ILLUSTRATION BOOKLET- To design a booklet using different techniqueswith paint and drawing skills.
SOLUTION- I drew several faces and created different backgrounds using scrapes of paint, thenlayered them up in photoshop to create thebooklet.ILLUSTRATION

SOLUTION- I decided to use lego as it wassomething different. Also you canput many objects together to createan alphabet but with lego you have to build the letter.

ILLUSTRATION ‘TSB’ BRIEF- To pick a theme and create a conceptual pieceof artwork for a mojor bank.
SOLUTION- Once i had picked the theme i set about creating a way of expressing how a bank goe the extra mile and relate it aswell.ILLUSTRATION

SOLUTION- I created three simple ways to show the evolution of man. Showing threedifferent ages, from the beginning, tothe first man to the present age of man.THREE

SOLUTION- I chose to create a full working, lockable‘safe’ out of card and paper.

SOLUTION- For the cover i decided to try re-design theoriginal cover but add a modern twist to it.

SOLUTION-For the Classical spread i decided to use the look from a bible and an old style peice of writing, that would be usually seen in the bible.

SOLUTION- For this Swiss style spread i decided to lookat well known Swiss stlye artists and get inspiration and create a fresh style design

SOLUTION- For this Decorative style spread i decided to use fancy, creative style fonts. I then put them onto a ‘bible’ look peice of paper to give a mixed contrast effect

VISUAL COMMUNICATION ‘CONVERSATIONS’BRIEF- Record various ‘conversations’ then display them in a graphic way, onto postcards.
SOLUTION- I decided to have a theme with my ‘conversatons’ which was the ‘fve’ senses.CONVERSATION

3D ‘CONVERSATIONS’ PART- The 3D aspect of the ‘Conversations’brief. To create packaging to holdthe postcards.
SOLUTION- I wanted it to be as a complete package,so i made a box and a 3D model hand that would act as a stand to hold the postcards.

ILLUSTRATION ‘ARTICLE’ PROJECT- To pick an article and re-design it for a completely different magazine.
SOLUTION- I chose to pick an article on Snowboarding,picked from a newspaper and design a vector withtexture for a snowboarding tutorial in another magazine.

SOLUTION- I decided to focus on the emotion stress,and make a stress doll that would reflecthow a stress doll gets stressed out.

VISUAL COMMUNICATION ‘LATERAL THINKING’BRIEF- Think outside the box, to create a set of posters.
SOLUTION- I chose to do a series of posters for children stating the myth that if youeat carrots you can improve yourvision at night. Making childreninterested at eating their greens.

ILLUSTRATION ‘REVISIT A CLASSIC’ BRIEF- To pick a classic novel, poem or story andmake a book using any creative method.
SOLUTION- I went with one of the fables from theGrims Brothers stories and drew it in a comic style using ink and limited colour.

TYPOGRAPHIC SPEC SHEET- Produce a ‘typographic’ spec sheet,containing the alphabet, numbers and puntuation.
SOLUTION- For this brief i wanted to print it onto an A2and decided to mix the colour brief with this project to create my spec sheet.

JOINT PROJECT WITH PHOTOGRAPHERS‘NOISE’ PROJECT-To work with the photographers to fit the genre of music given, to producea magazine.
SOLUTION- With my group given the genre ‘R&B’ we decided to design a magazine that is modern and fits in with the typeof music and people associated with‘R&B’

3D ‘PACK A PUNCH’ PACKAGING -To design and create packaging fora Goldfish to travel in.
SOLUTION- For my design I thought of howa Goldfish would want to travel in.And came up with the concept ofa few designs that would entice children to buy them.

EXHIBITION PROMOTION- Design and create advertisement,a promotional object and packaging.
SOLUTION- For this final project i decidedto pick a well known poster and change it in a small way. For the promotional, Idesigned beer mats and stamps with thesame image as the poster on it. Then packaged it in a simple cardboard box.
