For the Corporation for Findlay Market (CFFM) I focused on the northern half of the Over the Rhine neighborhood and its development potential. My two major projects included a street parking study and a property database, both of which will be used to spur development in the neighborhood. The parking study involved gathering on-street parking data and collecting it into a readable map. For the property da-tabase I created a spreadsheet of all the buildings in the northern half of OTR and collected information on building conditions, low income housing, and storefront potential.

While working for the Over the Rhine Brewery District Community Urban Redevelopment Corporation (BD-CURC), I created historic district con-servation guidelines for a new local historic district within the neighbor-hood of OTR. These guidelines were intended to be prescriptive and easy to understand for both devel-opers and property owners.

As a part of Keep Cincinnati Beauti-ful, the Future Blooms program seeks to increase the aesthetics of an area in order to improve the conditions of the surrounding region. By painting and improving the building facades, an entire neighborhood can be revi-talized in terms of increased visibility, crime prevention, graffiti manage-ment, and economic attractiveness.The main focus area for this program is the downtown Cincinnati neigh-borhood Over the Rhine.
My responsibilities as an intern at Future Blooms went beyond the fa-cade improvements. I also assisted in the creation of user-friendly neigh-borhood maps (pg. 5) to be used to identify target areas for future proj-ects.

Over the RhineConcept Plan
The purpose of this project was to complete a concept plan for the Over the Rhine com-munity. Our plan focused on the Mohawk district (northern OTR) and attempted to ad-dress the issues that are important to the res-idents there.
The final proposal included infill design, an OTR bike center, and community branding.

A community analysis was completed within a group for a local neighborhood business district (NBD) that included gathering spatial and quantitative data, and compiling the in-formation effectively and appropriately. This project focused on only one area, Camp Washington, which allowed for the achieve-ment of a comprehensive understanding of the neighborhood in the hopes of creating a plan to appropriately benefit the lives of the local residents.
