RESEARCH

ASSISTANT

2011–2015

Established the clinical advantage of a new class of radiation sensor, in an

NIH-funded, interdisciplinary project.

Guided cross-functional team members regarding living tissue, cancer

treatment using radiation, and conducting work in given clinics.

Configured and operated linear accelerators and a Gamma Knife.

Developed a test jig using a phantom that replicates in-vivo, radiation dose build-up. Designed in 3D with AutoCAD.

Wrote the initial LabVIEW VIs. Demonstrated control and recording.

Co-authored two pairs of papers, presented at conferences or published.

Proposed details for RF locating and polling of multiple sensors.

Returned to

full-time study

in 2007.
