United We Stand * One Nation Under God
Orange Peal Celebrating over 3 years of service to our Community
Award Winning Publication
This is my first message as your exalted ruler so I will be brief. Because of the leadership of Frank Kuczkowski, his officers and the House Committee, The Lodge has grown in profit and membership. For that I thank him. In my twenty seven years being as an Elk, I never anticipated becoming Exalted Ruler. I have held all the Chairs but avoided the E.R. What lies ahead? I, along with my slate of officers, look forward to a year of increased activities, membership, and profits. I thank you for your trust, confidence, and support. My first task as your E.R. is to make the membership of the Lodge 2723 “Elks of the Month”. Fraternally, Dan Theodore, E.R. Exalted Ruler

26thAnnual Bicker Breakfast 2017 It was a chilly morning outside on Thursday March 16th, but inside the Port Orange Elks Lodge everyone was warmly welcomed as the “Over the Hill Gang” greeted each other as well as friends, family and motorcyclists. This once a year breakfast during bike week is an opportuni-ty for these beach racers to gather, renew old friendships and enjoy memories of the year gone by. Coordinators of this event for the past 26 years, Susie Popp, was on hand to great all those who attended. She would like to thank all the Port Orange Elks 2723 men and women who volunteered their time to help make this a success again this year. Compliments to the Chef, Sam for a delicious breakfast. The E.R., Frank Kuczkowski warmly welcomed all the attendees, making everyones visit to the Port Orange Elks memorable. Over 120 breakfasts were served and everyone is looking forward already to next years “Biker Breakfast” during Bike Week 2018.

GOLF TOURNAMENT
On April 15, 2017, the East Central District PER Associa-tion is having their annual fund raiser. The golf tourna-ment will be held at Cypress Head Golf Club, 3251 Palm Vista St. Port Orange. The teams will consist of 4 players, at a cost of $65 per person, with an 8:30 shotgun start. Each player will receive a free golf club, beer on the course and a chance to win valuable prizes. There are four hole-in-one chances with prizes ranging from $10,000, an X-box game system, a $500 dollar gift card and a mystery prize. There will also be prizes for closest to the hole and closest to the beer for both men and women. Each player will receive lunch at the Port Orange Elks Lodge, with a 50/50 drawing, lots of great prizes and fun to be had by all. We are still looking for hole sponsors till the cutoff date of April 5th, due to the time required to acknowledge all spon-sors on the golf course. The cost to be a sponsor is $50.00. If you are unable to get a foursome, teams will be created with the players that could not man a full team. For more information please contact me at 386-847-3086 and I will add you to the list. Fraternally Yours Jerry Peterson
