  • Popularna kultura in globalna slovenska skupnost na spletu - Povzetek

    Po osamosvojitvi Slovenije je bilo veliko govora o t. i. »skupnem slovenskem kulturnem

    prostoru«, interpretacije tega pojma pa so se razlikovale od tistih, ki so ga dojemali ožje kot

    Slovenijo in zamejske skupnosti, do tistih, ki so v njega vključevale Slovence po celem svetu. Za

    boljše razumevanje omenjene problematike se pričujoče delo posveča predstavitvi položaja

    slovenskih skupnosti v svetu in članov teh skupnosti. Poseben poudarek je namenjen mladim

    potomcem slovenskih izseljencev in njihovi umeščenosti v sodobno globalno družbo, ki jo

    prepredajo popularna kultura, množični mediji in tehnologija. Avtor se pri tem poslužuje

    različnih teoretskih orodij, s katerimi si prizadeva osvetliti področja nastanka skupnosti,

    ustvarjanja in razvoja identitete, družbenega in tehnološkega razvoja, popularne kulture in

    množičnih medijev ter pojava interneta in svetovnega spleta. Na slednjega se navezuje empirični

    del, zasnovan kot pregled spletne produkcije Slovencev po svetu, ki v kombinacij s teoretskimi

    nastavki ponudi bolj celovit vpogled v omenjeno problematiko, v sklepu pa poda nekaj smernic

    za njeno reševanje.

    Popular Culture and Global Slovenian Community on the Web - Abstract

    After the independence of Slovenia there was a lot of talk about the so-called “common

    Slovenian cultural space”, and the interpretations about its meaning differed from those who

    thought of it as of Slovenia and Slovenian communities in border countries, to those who percept

    it in a wider term by including all Slovenians around the world. For a better understanding of

    such problems this work tries to present Slovenian communities and their members, thereby

    giving special emphasis to young descendents of Slovenian emigrants and their position in the

    contemporary society, which is defined by popular culture, mass media and technology. The

    author incorporates various theoretical tools to enlighten the fields of community beginnings, the

    creation and development of identities, social and technological progress, popular culture and

    mass media, and the phenomena of the internet and World Wide Web. The latter made it possible

    to carry out the empirical part, conceived as an overview of Slovenian Web production around

    the world, which, by combining with the theoretical contributions, provides a more wholesome

    insight into these problems and at the same time gives some guidelines for their solution.
