Featuring a Spanish-Caribbean culture with unique American influences, Puerto Rico has a wide range of attractions that visitors can enjoy. Just a few of the island’s top attractions are listed below:
- El Yunque National Forest: covering more than 40 square miles along the Luquillo Mountains, El Yunque National Forest is home to 240 species of trees and a variety of wildlife. The forest also features a number of notable landmarks, including La Coca Falls and Yokahú Tower.
Puerto Rico - Rio Camuy Caves: located roughly one hour
from San Juan, the Rio Camuy Caves stretch along for over 10 miles and include more than 200 caves. Visitors can enjoy spelunking through the cave system or walking the lit paths.
- Vieques: a popular destination for both foreign and Puerto Rican travelers, Vieques is an island beach resort off Puerto Rico’s coast. The island has no high-rise buildings or large hotels, ensuring it maintains a small-island feel despite its considerable size.
