Faithful Friar’s Message
My dear Brother Knights,
It has been my joy and honour to be part of Knights of Columbus Pope John Paul II Assembly #3176 in
Burlington as your Faithful Friar. As of June 30th
I am moving out of the Diocese of Hamilton to the Diocese
of St. Catharines, where from August 3rd
2021 I become the Pastor of St. Therese of Lisieux Parish in Port
Colborne, Ontario. In my new parish there is Knights of Columbus Our Lady of Fatima Council #3732, to
which I will be most probably transferred. I will continue to serve God as his priest and proud Knight of
Columbus. As the month of June is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus I entrust you and your families to
the Divine Heart of Jesus. May the divine love that flows from the Heart of Jesus fill your hearts to be his
faithful and courageous servants! I ask for your prayers for my new assignment so that I will fulfil God’s
will, being a pastor according to the Heart of Jesus! Please remember to pray the Litany of the Sacred Heart
of Jesus during the month of June. God bless you all,
Yours in Christ,
Father Janusz Rogiński, S.A.C.

Faithful Navigator’s Message:
Sir Knights:
With the month of May days away from being over, June brings some changes. At our meeting on Thursday
June 3rd
, we will be holding elections for a new executive. If there is anyone who would like to serve on the
executive, please call me. There are still two openings: one as Inner Sentinel (Guard), and the other as
Trustee.
On the first of July, we see the movement and transfers of parish priests. Father Janus Roginski, our
Friar, will be moving to Port Colborne. Thank you Father for all your help and spiritual guidance.
Your smile is contagious.
A rumour I heard was that we could be attending mass in our churches again in July.
Please keep the soul of Rev. Msgr. Paul Boucher in your prayers. He was the founding pastor of St. Paul
the Apostle Parish in Burlington. He was one of the members of the “Flying Fathers” hockey team.
I would like to say thank you to Sir Knight John Bennett for taking the time from his schedule to publish
the newsletter every month and also for being a Trustee.
Vivat Jesus

June interesting dates
June 6 – D-Day
On this historic day in 1944, Allied troops invaded the beaches of Normandy, France. It is the largest
amphibious assault in world history. This massive, bloody battle was the turning point of the war in the
European theater.
June 18 Go Fishing Day
Today is Go Fishing Day. Now, this is my kind of day! It's a day to go out and bring home a healthy, tasty,
meal for the family.
June 20 Father’s Day
A day to honor Dad. NO. Rather, it is a day to enjoy time with Dad and appreciate all he does for us.
Particularly our spiritual fathers who serve both God and their parishioners.
June 23 Let It Go Day
Got something that's bothering you? Perhaps it's been this way for a long time. Today is Let it Go Day, the
perfect opportunity to shed your worries and concerns.
June 24 St Jean Baptiste Day
Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day originated from celebrations of the summer solstice, an ancient pagan tradition in
which fires were lit to celebrate light on the longest day of the year. In France, the Roman Catholic Church
adapted this holiday and associated it with John the Baptist, cousin of Jesus.

2. The era we are living in today is a dream of coming true.
3. A man should never neglect his family for business.
4. The worst of us is not without innocence, although buried deeply it might be.
5. Fantasy and reality often overlap.
6. You reach a point where you don’t work for money.
